Celica GT-S 2000 - 2005 door speakers

What's the diameter of the larger speaker? I want to refoam them so they don't sound bad anymore. Need the diameter so I can buy the right kit.

I'm considering doing this for my Celica, however I have a few questions. How did you secure the Polk speaker to the modified housing? You didn't state how you secured it. Did you just put the foam underneath the speaker, then screwed the top piece onto the 4 structural pieces and that's how you held it in place?

+akiraique - You got it right, it is just sandwiched in between the base and the top. Once the top is screwed in place it does not move.

Kellie Stomp At 1:15 - I cut the wiring harness off the original speakers. I kept the harness (short term) to match what wires went where. I then cut the other side of the harness out of the door and then connected the wires with quick connects, so that I can take them out if needed, then wrapped them in electrical tape.

How do you remove the speaker, it's riveted in.

I just drilled the 3 rivets out with a standard drill bit.
