We got a 2003 celica GT, with the trd package with the red and black suede seats along with steering wheel and door trims that came stock,...I even have 2 other sets of the red and black seats brand new wrapped in the plastic covers in came in, along with a brand new steering wheel I bought from a friend that works at toyota in japan.

Imitation leather vinyl is great because it's easy to clean, durable, and won't crack up like the original leather. I found an upholstery shop that did both fronts nice for $450.

While I was considering going that route I ended up just replacing to cloth seats since it’s less brutal in the summer time.

You're quite right. The vinyl is stinging hot when the sun hits it.

there were also seats available in Red & Black suede and Full Red Leather seats (front and rear) from the UK market.

I am thinking about repairing a seam that let go in my leather seat, bottom seat portion of driver’s side. It looks like the leather is attached to fabric? I didn’t pull the cover off yet, just looking in from the exposed opening. Is there anything that needs cut to get the leather cover off so I can repair it? It didn’t seem that way in the video but I don’t see anything in the video of actually removing the bottom leather seat cover off the foam other than removing clips. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

You have multiple hog rings holding the leather down to the seat on a metal rod. They are easy to remove with some needle nose pliers. Nothing is glued on.

Ok, I think it must be attached to a thin foam layer. I may attempt this weekend.

2zzlow Is it possible to use the bottom seat from passenger side on the driver side? I know I may have to cut a hole for the knob, but would the plastic cover up the difference in cutout and do the clips/positioning on the main foam match up? Thanks in advanced!

My main focus right now is to get the passenger seat replaced as well. I hardly have anyone in the back seat that i might delete it but who knows. If i find the back seat really cheap then ill buy it but most of the time at pick n pull the workers bend / damage the seat.

I got a brand new steering wheel, (i have a friend in Japan that works for TOYOTA) the original one RED and Black one, that came with the TRD package, along with the Red seats.

+Soapiscool123 it's a long story that I might get into a video. This GT-S was suppose to be more of a rental for 4 months due to me being in a full leg cast on my left leg and then I ended up keeping it.

+Soapiscool123 I got my Corolla XRS 6 speed before the Celica. I could not drive my XRS after I got out of knee surgery. I was on a full left leg cast so I had to keep my leg at a fully extended position. Regular cars like the Corolla you have to slightly bend the knee when sitting but the celica you sit kinda low and I was able to keep he leg fully extended while driving. I found this cheap GT-S locally and just liked it so I decided to keep it. Who knows, maybe down the road I'll swap it to a 6 speed, it's really not hard.
