Thank you so much xx I think longer adjustable strap would add a lot to the bag by giving an option for a comfortable cross body situation and still remaining a very elegant sophisticated bag when strap is removed

Yes, my SA said the lock is for the interior pocket! I received this 16 bag for my 16th wedding anniversary this year, and I absolutely love it. The strap drop is short because this kind of bag is not meant to be cross body- it’s a bit too elegant imo. Having said that, I can crossbody it but I just don’t think it was meant for that look. Mine stretches so easily and it is very delicate😢 thanks for the review.

Thank you for letting me know! At first I just could not figure out why the fully functional padlock was there lol What a beautiful and meaningful gift to receive for the 16th wedding anniversary! Totally agree that the bag is very elegant and probably was not meant to be cross bodied, I just could not resist :)

@@laurenrichardson7870 mine is in the satinated calfskin- which I love the look of but it does scratch easily on the bag (not strap). Interestingly my triomphe bag does not scratch easily, is very hearty and has not scratched at all. I would still wear and cherish this bag due to the sentiment and also I love the look of it. They both have the beautiful shiny leather.

You use the lock on the inside sipper compartment there is a loop there

I saw another video on the Celine 16 and I believe the lock is to be used with the hook inside the bag and the hole of the zipper inside the bag

Not really, I would describe it as medium weight and remove the padlock since it adds a bit of weight to the bag
