Thank god you did the video on this one Sebastian! I’m in a shock right now. I went to Celine boutique today and tried all of its fragrances only because my friend who lives outside of new york asked me to. I didn’t expect much at all, probably because the friend who asked wasn’t really that much into fragrance to begin with... And I was holymoly totally blown away!

Dans Paris is a masterpiece. It smells like a nutty thanksgiving dessert. Parade is also a masterpiece, I just have to be in the mood to wear neroli. La Peau Nuit and Cologne Francais are the understated hidden gems

This is the line I'm most excited for this year. Hedi Slimane oversaw the creation of Dior Homme, Eau Noire, Cologne Blanche, Bois d'Argent, and Fahrenheit 32. He also designed the Dior Privee bottles.

Great review. Versace is pronounced 'Ver-SAH-chay', 'Dans Paris' is pronounced 'Dahn Pah-REE', 'La Peau Nue' is 'Luh Poo Noo' and Hedi Slimane is pronounced 'EH-dee Slee-MAHN'. I'm looking forward to trying Dans Paris myself since some forum folk are saying it reminds them of a heavier Dior Cologne Blanche, which is now impossible to find and eye-popping expensive when it shows up on eBay.

Hi Sebastien. So I blind bought Dans Paris and I love it. To me it smells like French pastry cake, yum. I got sample of parade that one is just fresh masculine vetiver nothing special in my opinion. But I am curious about black tie and le Pleu neu one. I think those 2 will be my next purchase🙂thanks for introducing to us these new Celine frags.

I'm a big fan of Hedi Slimane so was very excited to hear about the releases. Was in Paris this past weekend and ended up going to the Haute Parfumerie and the regular Celine store (they are about a 5 minute walk from each other). Picked up the 200 ml bottle of Black Tie. Will not be my last purchase from the brand.

Since many of these contains vanilla, musk etc, any Jean Paul Gaultier 2 dupes or similarities? Love the bottles, and Celine. We have a Celine store here in Oslo, Norway, so hopefully they’ll have it here🙏🏾😍 Hedi Slimane is of Tunisian (Arab) and Italian decent, and he’s a famous fashion photographer and designer, so I highly doubt he’s the perfumer behind these fragrances🤷🏾‍♀️ If you could only recommend one, which one would it be?

I took the plunge and bought a bottle of Dan Paris as well. I am very happy with my choice! The laurel blossom/vanilla combination is heavenly. I think the drydown smells similar to Guerlain's Spiritueuse Double Vanille. Very long-lasting, very high quality juice and the bottle is gorgeous. Also got samples of Parade and Reptile in my order. Parade was nice, but seemed rather "generic" to me, not unique enough for the $220 pricetag. Reptile was much more interesting, with a rubbery/leather vibe to it. As you said, none of the fragrances have beast-mode projection, but the Dans Paris and the samples I tried all had excellent longevity on my skin. I can still detect traces of the Dans Paris the next day. I would definitely like to try more from the line, especially Cologne Francaise and Saint-Germain Des Pres. These fragrances are classy!

I smell th flower of Cherry laurel blossom,now in spring in the nature and get enchanted how beautiful it smells. After i chek if there is any parfum with this note,and Celine Paris is the only one i found. Thank you Sebastian,im really curious to try how it smells🤗

Nice intro and unveiling to Celine Parfums. I know the brand and wear Celine “Audrey” sunglasses almost every day. The bottle and spritzer look beautiful and high quality. Next time I see Celine I will give a few a try. What brand do the perfumes remind u of? Obviously not Versace :)

Parade is so sexy. I feel like there was something missing form other similar fragrances I have. There's a unique twist to it compared to other similar scents. Sadly I only had the sample but when I buy a bottle and start wearing it I'll figure it out.

I think this is more floral, has a clean laundry freshness to it with clean muskiness. As it dries down there's warmth and depth as well. So it's not full on masculine it's more unisex. So I wouldn't compare it to Eau Sauvage personally and it's not a straightforward bergamot as well. Hope that makes sense.

Smelling Great Fragrance Reviews I am in Vancouver - Canada but my husband was in NY and I asked him to go to Celine Store and choose something for me after I saw your post on instagram. He loved eau de Californie, he said it is similar to Sycomore but I don’t get that. He got 2 samples, Riptile and Black Tie, which I love both and also the envelopes with blotters of the whole line. He said they didn’t want to give him samples from the whole line. I am eyeing Black Tie, the dry down reminded me the old formulation of Hypnotic Poison!

By the time I got to the end of the collection my nose was worn out as I had been smelling fragrances prior to that as well. I need to really dig into the latter part of the collection. I love EDC but I do not get Sycomore either. But glad you got one. I will get that one too but next up is Parade and Cologne Francaise we shall see! :)

Seen the news of Celine collection on Fragrantica website and have been waiting for them to lounge in Australia. Haven't seen them yet. Which of the collection is the most feminine one? I read through the notes for all of them and they seem to have some common notes in each of them and feel like masculine to me.

Hey Sebastian, how is the longevity of Dan Paris and the other samples that you got from the line? I love the aesthetic of these fragrances and would like to buy one, but want to be sure the longevity is good before dropping the cash. Parade is more of a citrus aromatic fragrance focusing on Neroli but what a beauty it is!! I’d say it’s more unisex than masculine leaning. And it does have oakmoss as well! 😄

In my modest collection I wear mfk masculin plurieal Ysl tuxedo Rive gauche Armani vetiver DHiver Sartorial Beau du jour Oud wood 1725 Casanova I have several creed bottles but don’t find any of them special aside from royal oud. From this list can you point my nose in a new direction? By the way I sampled Jovoy incident diplomatic and I think it’s nice but I have to experiment with it more. Thanks for that great review. Never been so disappointed with fragrances like the Celine ones. Way too feminine, the powder is too strong! I tried 4 fragrances they all had the same base and where gone after 4-5 hours. Even Reptile, remined me of Tom Ford F. Fabulous but weaker. Sorry but i can not understand the excitement. The story that each perfume has on the homepage is a joke. I did not try Parade though maybe thats one better. Please do not blind buy if you are a guy. Women maybe love the fragrances. Dior Homme already did I everything in this category in my opinion. I am a big fan of Hedi Slimane but this is an disappointment.
