Sorry for this crazy long reply but you just made me feel seen/ heard 🥰 I have had health issues for 25plus years always fighting my way back as similar to Celine I LOVE my job. The last decade parts of my body have turned into bitchy Karens and even though I am giving it all I have I haven’t been able to work at all. Most days I feel like a useless burden. So, yes, I so agree with your comment. If I had cancer I would be allowed to have quality of life for the remaining time and I would deserve a peaceful/painless death. If I would struggle with illicit addictions there are multiple organizations elbowing each other to offer help. But me, nope it’s perfectly fine to let me sit in this pile of 💩 going: Oh no, we can’t increase the meds because what are we going to do in 20 years when your body might not react to the meds at all anymore… So I am placed on hold in hell for the remainder of my life (nope, I won’t die from it). But how about contemplating that in 20 years we hopefully have invented countless new medications, maybe found other pain treatment options so let’s not ruin my body completely so I have a chance to get better. CRAZY 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤯😡😡

There are people here who don't realize how much music, singing and performing means to Celine. She isn't like the vast majority of artists out there who do few shows and couple of tours then spend money to go on vacations and parties or whatever. She has been performing and recording music since she was 12 years old, has done more than 2,100 concerts and 27 albums, she never cared about the show business, the social media and the drama/shade. She only cared about making music and sharing it with her fans. That's why she won't stop trying to go back on stage and make music, because that's her true passion, her calling and that's where she belongs. That's her driving force. Those who think she should retire, don't realize that this for her equals to losing hope and never getting better. This film is mainly a gift to her fans, and also a way to raise awareness of this rare syndrome so that people less fortunate than her can finally be heard and have a hope somebody finds a better treatment or even a cure. Nobody as famous as her would ever allow being filmed like that. She did and that speaks volumes of her character and soul.

"Those who think she should retire, don't realize that this for her equals to losing hope and never getting better. " I wish I could like you comment a thousand times. People that keep saying she should just rest and be with her family have never had something they are this passionate about. Also, it's essentially like telling someone to give up on the life they love. No one wants to just give up because they have an illness, they'll look for treatments to help them continue living the life they love. That's what she's doing. The love she has for her kids and having a goal to get back on stage keeps her strong and keeps her going.

I was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome a year ago. I knew Celine had it from media stories, but I have never met another person irl that has it. Disabilities can be incredibly discouraging, trust me I know, so please don’t pounce on me for what I’m about to say. I was born with Cerebral Palsy I’m a full time power wheelchair user, I use this and caregivers 4xs a day to help maintain my independence. Celine has been my rock to pull through some of my darkest days for the last 32 years of my existence. I found her voice when I was only 12 years old. I met her in person when I was 14 years old. She is the most purest, beautiful loving person to this very day that I’ve ever met. I feel like I know her to some degree on a very deep personal superficial level. She’s an open book, and she admits to being an open book. The kindness, love, compassion and EMPATHY she showed to me was not of this world, but it should be. Not once did she ever make me feel like my disability was discouraging.🥹♥️We can and all should be like Celine, we need to as a society, change our perception and narrative of what disability really is to those of us who are disabled and in turn help the world to understand that we are still capable of living and achieving great things. To see any disability as pity, tragedy, less than only disempowers the person with the disability. Please as a society and fellow human being, please let’s not do that. I’ve let society do this to me for too long. Despite my feeble attempts to stay positive, in my own struggles and as horrible as this illness is, I would never wish this illness on anyone let alone my hero my rock, my Celine.😢 I strongly believe that she was put in my life for a far greater purpose than just to enjoy great music sung by a beautiful voice that is not of this world. She is here to remind me and so many others with and without limitations what tenacity strength, and courage look like in the face of under mountable odds. When asked what SPS has taken away from her she said quote “SPS didn’t take away anything from me, it gave me a responsibility.” A responsibility to herself and a responsibility to others facing this devastating debilitating illness. When life gives us REALLY sour lemons we have a choice, sit and sulk in the sour or sip on life’s sweetness no matter how sour life may get. She’s holding onto that hope and so will I alongside her.❤🥹🫂

Come on Celine ..you don't need to tour anymore...the little quality of life you still got enjoy it with your family !! Touring and worrying only will stress out more and aggravate your condition. Life is short , just enjoy it now more than ever.

Singing and performing for people brings her joy, losing what brings you joy can be devastating to a person. I am chronically ill myself and not being able to do the things I love makes me not want to be here anymore. I get severally depressed when I am in pain and my body doesn't work like I want it to and I am unable to create or craft things for days, weeks, months at a time. I had a hard time watching this and haven't watched the documentary yet because I am still trying to process my own diagnoses and just watching this video and seeing a clip had me in tears, while I do not have fame and done the great things she had done, I can understand how hard this has been for her. Suffering in silence and feeling like the lie is too big. I am glad she has such a supportive team around her.

I have a horrible feeling that she is so addicted to living in the spotlight that she doesn't realize that she doesn't have to do it anymore. Hopefully her pain isn't being capitalized upon. Retire gracefully and go enjoy the years you have left Celine.

@@Roxy_liquid_dream it's not about money or fame....she stresses herself out when she can' reach her high notes...crying because she can't anymore...she doesn't need more stress to her body. There's a limit to everything in life..and this is one of them.

I watched the documentary I am Céline Dion on Prime. I was very surprise to see what the crises of that stiff person syndrom were that bad. I can't believe she has been performing with these symptomes. Sending my prayers to her and her family. P.S. She says she is doing better now. They lied about why she couldn't perform but she didn't know what was happening until a few months ago.

This should bring some PERSPECTIVE to Taylor Swift who selfishly didn't give Celine her flowers on stage when she had the fortitude to just be there at rhe AMAs. She deserved a great night to be honored too when we have no idea when we will lose her. Feminist my a** . Hope TS is ashamed of acting like a narc

Celine has a connection to music that translates through her voice. Her ability to project emotion through singing is one of her greatest gifts. I imagine, as someone who sings, that this is such a brutal time for her. Music is in her very soul, to lose that is so tragic. We love you, Celine! ❤️

The Heart Goes On is my favorite by far. Prayers for Celine Dion's health, her family, and with God's grace the ability to sing again. I saw her in Vegas in 2016 and she blew me away. No distractions, no light show, no back up dancers; just a voice that comes from God and her she possesses so much poise and stage presence. One class act!

The reason I started to love the beautiful Celine Dion was because of her unbelievably powerful voice. But, that turned into loving her for her inner beauty, strength, compassion, confidence.. she is the best role model for any female to look up to. She is now showing more bravery than I can ever imagine showing. So many people NEED to see this and we NEED a cure! My prayers for a healing miracle are with Celine. WE LOVE YOU CELINE DION!!!! 💜

The best documentary i've ever seen from an artist in a very long time ! raw, real and authentic, the last scene at the end is heartbreaking. Despite the adversity she never feels sorry for herself and she is fighting hard. she is one of few great artists from the 90's we have left and she gave us nothing but excellence.
