I’d love for him to react to her video of Memories. She sang it phonetically because did not speak English at the time. I remember being glued to my TV set that day. I’ve been a fan of hers since I was a young boy living in Montreal. I was a loner and always picked on. Watching her and listening to her music was my refuge.

When you speak French & understand the lyrics you absolutely agree that in French it’s another level & so much better than what is known of her in other languages. Her French albums are perfect. It comes from deep inside and are not based on performing even if she performs but it’s just natural. What stands out first is the deepness of the interpretation no matter which style of music in French. It’s another level up than in English.

to say something more to your comment...you are so right on that point...this is why an english song can be translate in french..and will be good...but doing the oposite...is wrong...because there is a lot more french words..in french and also ...to my knowledge in english..you have past time..present time..and future time...in french...we have 6 or 7 that i know of!!..so can you imagine how a song can be written in so many different ''time''!!...exemple..her song..Vole..in french...such a touching song..in english it turn out fly...and..maybe this ia my english that isnt good enough...but i cant feel the lyrics...and the deep feelings that goes with it...
@annettemartin7666 жыл бұрын
@@voicije I am not French, but the French version, Vole, resonates 1000 times more than the English Fly. I understand what you are saying. Celine emotes far more in French than English. Naturally, that is her Mother tongue❤🎵🎶🎵❤

I don’t speak French so forgive my wording, but it’s the last part at 4:43 that absolutely floors me! Where she’s like “MarmaLAY marmaLAY MarmaLA eh ehhhhhh EHEHEH EHEHEH MARMALAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH” and holds for 10 seconds. No one can do, match, or outdo her vocals.

This song was composed by Quebecer Luc Plamondon and French Michel Berger. Luc Plamondon wrote the lyrics on the plane between Montreal and Paris. The song was part of the musical '' Starmania '' by Luc Plamondon and held the stage for over 40 years and has known several generations of singers. Celine was part of this play early in her career.

I haven't the first clue what she was saying but it was beautiful and a sucker punch! Just being able to control a voice that big is a talent in and of itself, it doesn't get any better than this my friends...her vocals are EVERYTHING! ❤🔥

This song gets me every time, whether sung by Céline or Claude Dubois. It is simply one of the best songs ever written. At the end, "... pourquoi j'existe"... I always tear up. I am an anglophone from Montréal but my French is good. This song? Perfection. Sung by Céline. Absolute perfection.

Melting InHouston she gets a standing ovation every time she does this song since the late 80s. Her technique is best here but she sounds more piercing & hits notes with more ease in her early 90s performances such as kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2XJd3eNls2jo5Y which are just as powerful & jaw dropping

I like to know that experts like you can also appreciate her technique. I'm fortunate enough to have seen Celine all over the world and to follow her on tour, when I can have the time off. If ever she goes to your home town, I would like to invite you to see her show so you can expérience her live . I was in Europe last week to see her and I will be In vegas on Sept 19, 2017, front rows. Peace and keep the good job.

@piratecat51136 жыл бұрын
This song is from a musical (Starmania) that dates back to the early 70s and is sang by a male character, you also reacted to another song from that musical it's Dimash singing S.O.S. d'un terrien en détresse although I much prefer the Bruno Pelletier's emotional version. The irony of that song by Céline is that's about a highly successful business man who despite his fortune, does not really know what he wanted in life then he goes on belting that he'd always wanted to be an artist :) Don't thank me but here is what it all means in English. I'm successful with my business Successful with my love life I often change my secretary My office is on top a skycrapper From which I see the town upside down And from where I control my universe I spend half my life in the sky Between New York and Singapore I always travel in first class I have a secondary home! In all the Hiltons of this Earth! I can't stand misery I'm not happy But It looks like I am I lost my sense of humor Since I got the flair for business I've succeeded and I'm proud of it But deep inside I have only one regret I don't know what I would have liked to do I would have liked to be an artist so I could do my number! When the plane lands on the runway, at Rotterdam or in Rio! I would have liked to be a singer so I could scream who I am! (lol) I would have liked to be a writer so I could invent my life! So I could invent my life! I would have liked to be an actor so I could change my skin every day! And find myself beautiful on those giant colored screens! On those giant colored screens! I would have liked to be an artist so I could remake the world! So I could be an anarchist but live like a millionnaire! Live like a millionnaire! I would have liked to be... an artist (insane melisma :) So I can tell why... I exist!

Look up Celine's live performance of ''I finally found someone'' from Streisand. I think you're gonna love this. She found out she was gonna replace Barbra the day before. Brilliant performance there. She showed so much control and balance the entire time. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l33GpWywaLd_o68

Jenny Champagne Yes, it was an incredible performance.
@razrv3lc7 жыл бұрын
Jenny Champagne I thought she was replacing someone else that was singing the Streisand song... I've seen an interview where Barbra didn't realize the song they were singing for her was up next and she missed almost the entire thing because she went to the restroom before it started. So she was definitely there and not out sick. Maybe you're thinking of when she and Celine were supposed to sing Tell Him at the Grammy's when Barbra got the flu and Celine had to sing My Heart Will Go On at the last minute with only one rehearsal?
@razrv3lc7 жыл бұрын
