Celine just like a grande dame s she is, take the time to see and receive any people that show up to pay their respect to her husband Rene. Not hight on drug, or drunk to forget. Just as humble to her fans from not far where Rene was born. They where unique couple in every aspect; no drama, no front page snag, realy THEY work hard TOGETHER for what they both wanted, to be the best singer of all the world. And if she had to mention that in all interview music composer, she would be the entire interview talking about names of composers, because again, she herself has said that she don't composes her songs.

I'm Australian so fully support Daniel Merriweather but I didn't get in the interview where she apparently made out she wrote the song? Katie asked about the song and her and the husband got confused over what she meant (ie the husband thought she meant what was the song about). Songs are covered every single day and the singers don't say "such and such wrote this song".

Adele had no part in the writing of this song....she was just the feat vocalist on the track. Daniel Merriweather wrote the lyrics and melody and Eg White wrote the chords, arranged it and produced it. What yr talking about is different. Feeling the song and relating it to your life experience is one thing. Whenever I've performed a cover I will mention the writer/artist who originally performed it. I would draw on what the artist was experiencing and add that this was my take on the song....

I don't buy that because it's not hard at all to answer that question quickly. It's a very important thing that's not easily forgotten, particularly when most people would be assuming that it is her song . It's more than just that it was written for her, it was an actual released song that she covered so it requires more than just in the credits which most people wouldn't read anyway. Regardless I'm sure this wasn't her only interview and she would have had countless opportunities to mention it.

Nope it's just that Celine doesn't need to record his songs. She recorded because she loved it, and went through all the legalities to record that song. There are many writers that are clamoring to write for Celine. A person like Daniel Merriweather (who, to me, is to still largely unknown and still "fresh") should be greatful that Celine (who is more popular and has been around in this business ever since Daniel was probably in still in his diapers) chose his song to record.

Dirty music industry.. This is DANIEL MERRIWEATHER's song. He poured his heart into this song (clearly reverberated in how he sings it) and the Adele feature made it even more beautiful. He's not that new- I would argue that the more unknown someone is the more important that they get the credit. He was probably expecting spoken recognition, and didn't get it. Either way, he's certainty got it now. I just think whoever you are, you should acknowledge the original artist- particularly if it's the title track. The tone of this interview is something I don't like, and thats as a neutral observer, because it appears to imply that it was always her song.
