The greatest above them all including the fabulous Celine Dion has to be the late Karen Carpenter hands down. Nobody before her or since can touch her tone and intonation. Karen had a voice like silk and excelled in all the elements which make a singer not just a good singer, but a great singer... Technique, intonation, sonority, range and tone. She effortlessly mastered them all at the highest level and had the greatest qualities where all are concerned. Karen sang with the most devastating emotion and granted, she may not have been a powerhouse singer like Celine, Mariah or Whitney, but my god, in my book, she remains the greatest vocalist in history. Lol, NO ONE thinks Celine is in a different league. Surely, people may have their favorites within the 3, but fans of all of them can agree to some extent that they are all in the same league. People's voices wither with age and excessive touring just by themselves (which is the case for all 3 actually (with Celine's voice being the most preserved, yes))...smoking/drugs on top of that makes for a shell of a voice in Whitney's case. razrv3lc Celine is so slept on when we compare the 3 together. Like people always pick her last because they automatically put Whitney at the top, and they like Mariah more, so Celine is just kinda left out but she's soooo good. Like she is the only one who consistently had great vocal performances after the '90s and right now she's still slaying while Mariah's vocals are unpredictable. I know Celine's tone is not for everyone but she had more resonance, and more agility/ better melisma than Whitney. Not to mention her presence on stage is so fierce and commanding paired with a piercing voice still strong as ever in 2017.

EXACTLY! She's on Tour right now and she's absolutely KILLING it! :D She's singing all her songs... some are even her most difficult songs like The Reason and she's singing them fully live... And that's today... She was (obviously) way better in the 90s... and people do always pick Celine last! They also even say someone like Aretha Franklin or Barbra should be there and that Celine doesn't deserve to be in the trinity.... IMO the order goes: Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. That's because not everyone can have the resonance/power of Celine or Whitney, whereas for Mariah, basically almost every singer today can pull off melismas and such like Mariah... I'm a fan of powerful voices and there aren't too many of them out there. Celine has the power of Whitney and some of the agility of Mariah... she's great at runs and her voice is so massive. razrv3lc Celine is rated the lowest out of the trinity because her technique is just the least excellent out of the three. Whitney and Mariah both supported G5s, Celine loses support at E5. That being said, I think Celine is my favorite because she's just so unique. Her agility is so crazy and her runs and riffs are like no other. It's just that when we look at it from an objective point of view and take technique into account, she's not the best. She's just as much of a legend though. And I love that the general public still respects her. Wish they had the same respect for Mariah, but I do understand why they don't. She's made some questionable decisions and her behavior has turned her into more of an internet meme than the legend she's supposed to be. People won't respect her till she dies, unfortunately.

People talk about I have nothing and I will always love you as the toughest songs to sing which i think is crazy. Their tough but so many people can achieve a satisfactory cover. As someone else says no one can match Celine's Power and Range and I will live to 100 until someone sings this better than Celine which won't happen. Celine is the world, Best voice i have ever heard by a MILE!. She is the complete package good on her for sticking out of the main stream for the best part of her career.

Oh yes honey I tell people all the time, don't sleep on the little skinny girl from Canada, because her range and technique is no joke, lol! The reason she's so great is mainly because she can do vocals runs like no one else and so effortlessly! The only other singer alive today who has comparable skills is Mariah Carey. Two different styles, two wonderful sets of pipes, two gorgeous ladies and both have made songs with lyrics so powerful they move you. BUT! Celine has that classyness and modesty that truly make her a queen
