I remember watching this performance live. At the time, I thought she was so professional and knocked it out of the park in spite of the technical difficulties. Years later, hearing the news about her illness, I searched this performance up. My father passed the day before Christmas eve and 2 days before his birthday and i may be 41 years old but I may as well have been a 4 year old child feeling lost and all alone its like he took me with him when he took that last breath in our living room in that awful hospital bed next to pur glittering Christmas tree that night. Note the standing ovation and the Wows. Every performer knows how difficult it is to sing in an auditorium without ear pieces. Add to that only a piano accompaniment.
