FUN FACT: When Rene gets the offer to Celine to record the theme for "Beauty and the Beast", she originally refused to do it. Prior before all of that, Celine was offered to record the song "Dreams To Dream" from the movie "An American Tail" Fievel Goes West". However, that film's team decided to keep it safe and bring back the original film's singer Linda Ronstadt. Huge disappointment for Celine. When the offer for "Beauty and the Beast" came on, Rene and the team at Disney did some convincing.... the way they did it was showing Celine the full movie even while still in its final touches of editing. After being an emotional mess by the film and Angela Lansbury's version as "Mrs. Potts" in the film, she eventually said YES. Also, even though Celine was getting her name out there in America with the success of the "Unison" album, she wasn't a full household name yet. Luckily, the team at Disney made the song a Pop duet.... that's when Celine got teamed up with Peabo Bryson. Ironically, the song was a hit and it earned Celine her first Grammy!!!
