Love how Carrington, the boy all the viewers hated on, turned out to be the least problematic and every islander's favorite person. Lots in this show that us people just don’t know at all nor ever will. I figure that if something didn’t make sense then it’s probably producer induced.

He did get asked out on dates but he was also going after then. That’s what he did. He kept his options open. He never wanted to find love in the first place
