I went to Celine last week to try out the ZouZou perfume ( I LOVE it - going to pick it up this week) and look at a 16 small in grained leather. Anyway, I asked about Black Tie and my SA said that the fragrance is not in production at the moment because they cannot source a specific component of the fragrance. Once they are able to get it again, then the perfume will be created and sold. So not discontinued...I guess?!? Only time will tell :) Thank you for your video! Love your content!

It really is so good, I love Zouzou even more with time! Ohh so good to know❤ I think they will bring it back, it looks like they are bringing a bath & body range with Black Tie included🤞

I didn’t want to believe it but I think Mary is right. All things point to Hedi’s exit. Depresses me as a man who buys Celine menswear and a new boutique near me open just yesterday. You may have triggered a fomo buying spree; all these items I love from Hedi’s time at Celine are now subject to being discontinued

One of the most interesting, insightful uploads in a while on lux youtube, thank you. I think Celine will thrive under Rider (assuming he will be the creative director) and if Slimane indeed goes to Chanel, I believe the brand's best & most glorious days are still ahead. Buckle up.

Sooooo many thoughts lol… but to make it brief; first and foremost SOOOOOO happy you got Zouzou!!! I was literally gutted, because I tried it/LOVED it, but for some reason 20 minutes in it went straight up “old lipstick powdery” on my skin 🙃🫠🫣😫 it’s a ME problem because the same thing happened with Portrait of a Lady and I’m so upset because both of those fragrances are perfection 😍😍😍 I pray they will bring back Black Tie at some point but I’d only want it asap because I couldn’t deal with a reformulation 😅 literally they never ever get better once the original formula is tweaked 🥵

Ohh I see what you mean. Some of the other popular Celine fragrances I get the old lipstick scent, but not this. Thank you so muuch for watching❤❤❤

I am not into fashion but being a long time olfactory enthusiast...I eventually discover and bought into the Celine perfumes. I was never a fan of most masstige perfumes in general (Chanel being an exception) but Celine was really solid. I think its also due to Hedi being a creative director that has a strong control on the perfumes released under his time..and I see that from his time at Dior...some of the best modern perfumes were released under his time. Saying that, I did wished he gave credit to the noses behind the scents...seems a bit old fashioned to not credit the person who did the execution but thats just me. The Celine line has been really solid so far, consistent theme, finish and execution and seems like they use quality ingredients to my nose. I will treasure my current bottles and I expect the perfume may or may not get discontinued...I don't really know what the Celine business model is like so anything can really happen. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Zou Zoo is definitely on my purchase list. It's not anything new, but it's solidly executed. And will be a staple in my olfactory wardrobe.

I wish Hedi would renew his Celine contract 😢. I really like how he is very hands on deck. Hedi has a clear vision and aesthetic for Celine. He is also very involved with the brand’s campaigns via styling, photography, and film. If he exits the brand, I might have to just jump for the triomphe box bag right away in either teen or classic medium size before being discontinued. Also maybe a fragrance as well, partially influenced by Mary. 😊

Very interesting topics of discussion from Mary’s Room. I find all of these creative director musical chair changes to be very distracting. Not just for loyal brand clients, but also for the marketplace in general. Hedi Slimane has a strong, singular vision. Why isn’t a big boss partially financing an eponymous HS brand, chez Phoebe Philo? Like you I am not an editor or fashion business insider. No skin in the game other than loving fabulous fragrances, frocks, and corporate LGS intrigue💁🏻‍♂️🥂

I feel you!! I've loved his Celine, unexpectedly as I l loved the Phoebe-era. His RTW to bags to accessories to shoes are easily the most worn items in my collection. No other brand in my colleciton, Chanel or Hermes even are worn as much. I also love the vision, the creative direction... I feel it's too soon. Honestly, it's better to get it sooner rather than later. Also definitely yes to the fragrances. Who knows if the creative director changes everything🙃 I really can't with LVMH recently and I'm losing patience with these brands. Thank you so much for watching Isaac❤

I don’t think he will be leaving Celine, Chanel probably will hire someone from within, they want someone with the Chanel aesthetic, Heidi has a look of his own, read this recently on WWD

I've heard conflicting things about black tie. Harrods London SA told me it's definitely 100% getting restocked, then on the same day the SA at the London Celine store said he had no idea what was going on with it. This was about 6 weeks ago.

Yeah I've heard different reports. Many in the comments have heard different things. They did just advertise they were coming out with a bath and body line with Black tie as one of the scents. So they are hopefully bringing it back❤

Yeah black Tie going in and out of stock is suspicious 🤔 that usually happens when they change the formula or ingredients I just bought mine last month I talked to customer service and said it’s gone when is it coming back? and she was like it is back. I swear to you it I check the website like five times before I called 😅 it just popped randomly on the US web page. Thank you for reviewing Zou Zou I have been waiting and waiting for this scent to drop. It’s taken FOREVER online and in store 😅 oh yeah I can’t wait for their makeup line to drop 💄😍

Apparently LVMH spends about 5% of its income on advertising-brand ambassadors- Schmaltz-ing customers and the like, many $$$-£££, Billions.. which has to be paid for....by US
