Gee, thank you so much all your advices. For us, people from outside of US and Australia, they are really great lessons. I have one question: how you prepare the colour paints for the bloom? @@GeePours Hi Gee, again. So, last night I did EXACTLY the same as you in the video. Kitchen scale, Amsterdam white paint, water. I don't know... maybe in Poland we have differnt water - what I got was like thin milk! But I used it anyway. The halo effect accured immediately after applying of the paint and was wide for 3-4 mm. I knew it's not going to work and I was right :). At the second try I added a little bit more white paint and ONE tiny cell was formed. My colour paints ware mixed with floetrol. I do something WRONG but still can't guess what... Can you imagine that I even hardly create few tiny cells with silicone? I'm close to giving up.... :(

@GeePours2 жыл бұрын
hey Vicki! So the issue with this is that people around the world are going to have access to different materials that are all different thicknesses, right? What I did was make a recipe guide (where I used floetrol as the pouring medium) but more importantly I show you how to properly gauge how thick the mixture is regardless of what pouring medium you have access to. You can check that out here kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoXOanaol855mqM I hope it helps☺️

@GeePours2 жыл бұрын
Yes absolutely, it could be one of two things. Either you’re not using an opaque black, or you need more of the paint in the mixture because white is more dense than black. Are the black and white you used of the same brand?
@KlazienMatterWalstra Жыл бұрын
I tried this but it totally doesn't work😢 first question is the pillow always of house paint or can it also be acryl with pouring medium? Second with what did you mix your colour paint? With pouring medium?
@GeePours Жыл бұрын

@KlazienMatterWalstra Жыл бұрын
I know what you did and tried exactly what you did....
@GeePours Жыл бұрын
To answer your questions - you could technically make a pillow from acrylic paint, but you would have to figure out the correct consistency, while with house paint theres options that are used straight out of the can. In my example I mix the colors with pouring medium. This mixture leaves a two second trace when you drizzle it (that would be a little thicker than 2:1 floetrol paint) What paint did you use with your cell activator?
@KlazienMatterWalstra Жыл бұрын
@@GeePours I used an acryl paint bought in Switzerland, not Amsterdam. Mixed it with water as you did. Mixed my paint with a pouring medium 2:1 and used a very fluid acryl white also diluted with pouring medium for pillow, as I do not have house paint at home at the moment, so the latter is the only difference
@GeePours Жыл бұрын
@@KlazienMatterWalstra changing the amsterdam paint is changing 50% of the recipe. The recipe is only Amsterdam and water. There’s a reason for using this paint specifically (there’s a few others, but Amsterdam is by far the most tested - but its all in Amsterdam’s price range if not more expensive)

Hey, marveous videos, I have a question tho, is it ONLY Amsterdam white acrylic that works? I have Pebeo and other brands, is there anything secific about the Amsterdam brand?
@GeePours2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Okay so the short answer is no, its not only Amsterdam. But Amsterdam will work to create lacing across the majority of colors. Whats crucial for lacing to occur is above average quality pigment and binder in the paint - from there, they all “work” to different extents. Amsterdam just happens to be the most tested in this application.
