This video introduces proteins involved in cell cycle regulation: cyclins (such as cyclin D, cyclin E), cdks (cyclin-dependent kinases, such as cdk4, cdk6, cdk2), and Rb, and how these proteins are disregulated in human cancers.

Thank you so much. My wife has breast cancer and I am learning a lot from watching your videos. We are in the 21st century and there is science behind something other than chop and burn. Please keep making more.

You are awesome! Absolutely love your videos! As a pathology resident I am interested to learn a bit more about carcinogenesis on a molecular level and your videos are very motivating and you have a very clear and concise way of introducing these topics (which I’ve learned to an extent in med school, but well, of course I quickly forgot about all of the details cause there’s just too much to study)! Anyway, thank you so much for providing this educational resource!

Hi sir, I’ve been looking at treating lung cancer with pomegranates and it’s ellagitannins recently (I don’t know how much or if you know anything about this treatment)and one thing I’ve noticed is that the levels of cyclin d decreases to arrest the cell cycle in g1. If you know anything about this treatment then can you please notify me on how the cyclin d levels drop relative to this treatment (could be transcriptional/post translational or other.) Furthermore, if possible could you also explain how this treatment would increase p21 and p27 levels. I would be greatly appreciated if you could answer any of these questions, though if you can not then there are no worries, this video was still really informative. Thank you for this video and your time!
