Both this and the well-known version are amazing. The well-known version is more reserved and focused tone, fitting a master assassin, whilst this version is more gritty and in your face for a underground street fighter.

I was the only kid in Highschool that listened to Celldweller. this mix of Switchback was one of my favorites. It's amazing how this independent artist was able to sound as badass(in many ways more badass) as Dirsturbed and Korn and some of the other significantly larger nu-metalesque artist labels (that were actual bands with deep pocket producers) of the time. Celldweller had (and may still have) a more creative edge over the bigger artists. mixing metal and trance and acoustics inbetween wouldn't fly with Roadrunner or Universal records at the time. but innovations comes from making risks and Klayton has so much respect in my book for always stepping out of comfort zones even to this day. |m| |m|

I remember back in high school hoping to see Celldweller go out on tour with MDFMK. It seemed like both those bands, at least going by the Celldweller mp3.com releases, seem like it would have been one hell of a tour.
