I was really happy to see that this simple plot movie was so rich in its simplicity!! Sizemore surprised me or maybe the movie just had good editors. This was actually a pretty good movie with a very good premise. Worth watching. This reminds me of a true story I heard about a holocaust survivor being approached by a man he didn't recognize at first. They were both at a meeting. The man introduced himself as a german soldier who had worked in one of the camps where the survivor had been so long ago; they were both very old men now. All the german man wanted was to ask this survivor's forgiveness. You see, they had both become Christians. The survivor forgave him and called him his brother, which brought tears to the german man's eyes. "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." - Ezekiel 36:26

Minus the racism, this was truly a beautiful story about a unlikely friendship. I really wish I could find out if there ever was a relationship between Leroy and Madelena or if he ever got to meet Emilio ever again. This movie was very heartwarming.

I feel like that was part of the message, that anyone can change their ways & become a good person no matter how far down the rabbit hole they have gone. It's not easy to watch sometimes but it makes the message that much stronger. Just like American History X (which the warden in this movie played the Aryan leader in)

I can't believe I haven't heard of this. It was great! Kevin Farley, Hector Jimenez, and Tom Sizemore were very funny. Writing and direction were also very good. This reminded me of "O' Brother Where Art Thou", which is a great movie if you haven't seen it.
