Very good tips! Using strength to hear the resonance of the desired note and, rotating the wrist so that the pressure is squarely on the finger really help to ‘own the note’, vs just renting it! ( I’ve used the idea of ‘owning a note’, but the image of ‘just renting it’ is new!)

The F# on my D-string is wolveing. When I pizz, I can get it to ring, but with the bow there’s no ringing, even without changing fingers.

Try pressing / squeezing softly your right knee against the side of the cello. Takes some experimenting to find the right spot, but should help get rid of the wolf
