No kidding, I have Verizon on the other side of Magnolia and it's a bar, sometimes two depending on whether I have it over the coffee pot or on the night stand next to the window. I tried Nomad, no Way, I'm now on TMobile Home Internet and it's 3 bars, but not unlimited, but ultimately my Verizon hot spot is just enough to watch you right now while saving the T-Mobile for the family. The wife and I thought that tower and the one off 26 by Magnolia we're TMobile's, but turns out it's Att&t, but no internet offered in our neck of the woods. I had a NetR5 and used a cellular modem with a sim card i got from walmart and a prepaid month to month data plan that id use for base station. server was at home. a r6 for a rover with my tsc3 connected to the hotspot on my phone. worked beautifully.

Walmart? Really! Of course I hate Walmart as bad as AT&T..lol😂 that’s cool because it’s getting harder and harder to get a static IP

@@SurveyingWithRobert the cellular modem at the base wasnt static. my server was on my homes internet service which is static and port 2101 was not blocked. if youre trying to run a NTRIP server but dont have access to a good internet service, you might try a virtual private server. server on cellular seems like it would be very prone to problems.

So I am going base to rover via cellular. Static is on the computer at the office. The internet service here is nonexistent so I am forced to use cellular. I have about a hundred customers going base to rover using this service. This way they can go about 20 miles from their base no matter where it’s at. Kind of a mobile reference station.

@@SurveyingWithRobert yes. base to rover via cellular. ive been doing it and preaching it for years but nobody listens, they stick to their TDL450's and act like im crazy. static ip is just an ip that doesnt change when you disconnect/reconnect to a network, unlike a dynamic ip which will change. even with dynamic ip you can still overcome that with a dynamic dns service which i used to do running video game servers from my house as a teenager 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hi Robert. I use the same sim card for our RTK bridge. They send a DAC Sim cars with the RTK bridge. I didn't get a hat or drink thing.
