Been looking for some specific tips for better growing celosia. I’m going to try both direct sowing and peat pots, thanks!

0:07 Literally just as I was thinking 'I'll die if she calls it the brain one'... Hilarious!!! Just bought my first celosia and I came here to see how to take care of it.

This was really good. Told me exactly what I needed to know about whether or not they would become bushy in response to pinching.

What an informative young woman. I planted them for the first time this year and now I feel like an expert. Thank you.

That’s awesome ! What cultivar did you plant ?!

@@plantspeak7117 Honestly?? I don't know. I bot them about a month ago and did not know there were different kinds. And of course I didn't keep the tags. But because of you I will be more knowledgeable next year. Take care.

I've got the most beautiful deep purple celosias I got for my mom. I planted both of them and put a small basil plant inbetween them :0 So it's purple, bright green, purple, love!!!

Thank you! I just got 4 plumed ones, magenta, 2 red and one orange. They look so good but slumping a little. Think I overwatered, only once a morning I swear! But also need a larger pot and sand/pebbles at the bottom I think.

hi, can you make a video how you eat them? fresh or cooked?
@plantspeak71172 жыл бұрын
Hi! I don’t usually do cooking videos, and I’m actually taking a break because I am expecting a baby any day, but I would make sure I pick the greens before they flower so they’re less bitter, and boil them and cook them into sauces or stews like you would spinach !

Can u pls make a video on plant cutting for this plant :) if you’ve tried!! Thank you for this informative video
@plantspeak71173 жыл бұрын
Hi 👋 I have never made plant cuttings of a Celosia! It doesn’t seem like a plant that would do well from cutting, because it is so sensitive to root rot.. What is your climate like? You can try taking a cutting, removing any bottom leaves and putting it in water to root, then plant it. Change the water daily if possible
@minamomo123 жыл бұрын
@@plantspeak7117 I live somewhere with only wet and dry seasons :) it's humid often! I will try that! I read somewhere that celosia is easy to propagate but couldn't find a video on it showing before and after, but tysm for responding!!
Last year I tried growing celosia king coral and it refused to grow, I just started this year now I’m going after Flamingo feather and dragons breath, hopefully this time it grows, idk If I’m doing something wrong or not starting in the correct pot but I believe in myself

From Africa but I can’t tell you if you’re saying it correctly dear. Is like asking anyone from Europe if your Swedish pronunciation is good 😆. Informative video thanks

Hi, will it spread on its own because the seeds will fall to the ground and a new celosia plant will emerge before it dies?
@plantspeak71179 ай бұрын
I would say depends on your growing zone, whether it has time to produce viable seed .
