Come on Martin, The Rangers had the better of the second half. I hate to admit it, but them's the facts. I'm a Celtic man, watched the full game here in NZ, and clearly recall a moment in the second half when it was 3 against 3 and it culminated, fortunately, in Sima stuffing up his shot on goal. And all of The Rangers' 11 corners were vicious in-swingers which had me crossing my fingers. Those were heart-in-mouth moments. Watch the game again, read the BBC match report and you'll get where I'm coming from. Darren's assessment was more accurate, and I see here that you were applying your own press, pushing Darren to see things your way. But he held firm. Hail hail, and very well done the Bhoys in completing The Double.

Today proved two things: Brendanball can not beat the high press or the low block. Beating the high press is not just about playing the ball into the midfield, but exploiting space further forward, especially on the flanks. Celtic did nothing in the wide areas. Sevco have no winning mentality and will find a way to lose, even their best player getting affected by the loser mentality.

Unfortunately I can see The Rangers* winning their two qualifying rounds for the Champions League, given the opponents. That’d negate the £60 million advantage. But it has to complicate their August enough that, with the first Glasgow Derby at Celtic Park, we shouldn’t spend a single day behind them in the league next season. Then them qualifying through 3 CL rounds will feel altogether less likely. Despite even champion us having to win the CL playoff round in 25/26 too. It’s still possible for us to pull clear of them in absolutely every regard. Other formerly significant rivalries are dying across Europe and the world. The footballing landscape is not what it used to be. We should be Scotland’s Ludogorets. Or Scotland’s Al Ahly.

Think got joe hart to thank for this - while the foul on him was immediately clear if you were watching on the tv it didnt look like it was going to be looked at till joe hart chased after the ref and told him what happened. If that goal had been allowed rangers - who were already starting to dominate - tails wouldve been up and they probably wouldve gone on to win the game.

Great to get the double when all hope seemed lost at many stages this season, but that was one abysmal performance too many yesterday! Anyone that thinks this middle-third dominant, slow-tempo, pedestrian, side-to-side Football is the answer for our club is dreaming. Rodgers has proven he can’t adapt it and has no plan B. It’s alright winning, but consistently winning ugly with no style, is not the Celtic Way.

I will never understand why Scales is on a 4 year contract. He is not Celtic class and he panics and gets rid of the ball normally to a player who is being marked. He cant jump for a ball and opposition teams recognize it by hitting high balls into the box. I hope a centre back is on Brendan Rodgers shopping list

When Darren sees the 2 sending offs that The Rangers* evaded in the same incident where Maeda got booked, maybe then he’ll realise Celtic were much better on the day. The Rangers* being “up for it” means nothing if it’s fairly officiated. Which it categorically wasn’t. Another hunbelievable disasterclass from the profession where you fail upwards.

Result never in doubt, I felt TRIFC would play deep sit off and invite us on top. hit us on the break. hit and harry any play to break the game up. Not surprised first player booked was Celtic. Definite foul on Hart at Corner. it was a game of chess today Celtic pressed and probed and we weren't at our best, but that was the TRIFC game plan. spoil the game, it wasn't pretty but when the chance fell quality always comes through and in Idah and Bernardo that was enough. One of the most succesful clubs in world football.

I agree with Martin we were the better the team TRIFC were only trying to break up the play which made for a dull game but they did nothing of note in the game either. Neither team was great but if they'd let us play our normal game we'd have destroyed them as we're by far the better footballing side. As long as we strengthen in the summer and give the manager what he wants we can blow them out the water for as long as we want, we can't allow complacency to come back in that's what happened last summer and in January, that can't be allowed to happen again with the money we've got now. Bernardo running at them and the shot he unleashed was superb and finished off by big Adam was the only real moment of quality in the game and more than deserved to win the Scottish Cup for us. A final word for Joe Hart in his last game as a professional what a fitting way for the big fella to leave, he's been an immense signing not just as a goalkeeper or his influence and backing up CalMac in the dressing room but he's an incredible human being too and he'll never be forgotten by our support. I hope whatever he does from now on, and it looks like media work, that he's as successful. I wish him health and happiness and God bless him from the bottom of our hearts HH
