Conal and I explored the Celtic Shores Coastal Trail by ATV, the 92-km trail stretches from Port Hastings to Inverness on the west coast of beautiful Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. The scenery is unmatched and was simply incredible. We stayed at Chisholm’s Cottages in Troy. They will have direct access to the trail in 2020, but for now, we had to run about 1 minute down the highway to enter the trail. Chisholm’s is the perfect starting point.
In Inverness, there’s a gas station just at the top of the hill. We went across the street to the Co-Op and bought lunch, but there are some restaurants in the area. Technically your not allowed on the roads with your ATV so be aware of that.
On the way back we went passed our accommodations to see the causeway, it was really ocean swept after Hurricane Dorian went through so we didn’t go that far through it.
