A fascinating documentary. Though l grew up in Yorkshire, my paternal side is Liverpool-Irish-Catholic. Programmes like this help me understand how hard it must have been for my Irish ancestors when they moved over here.

Just one line after 9 mins about the influence of Hibs on Celtic’s birth and success? Really?? Celtic modeled themselves on Hibernian. Hibs also donated money to them at the start and agreed to open the new Celtic Park with a friendly match. Then, infamously, the more commercially minded people involved at Celtic offered cash inducements to Hibs best players leading to half a dozen of them moving west. Hibs were crippled and nearly destroyed, and Celtic prospered. All water under the bridge now of course but people should remember that without HFC there would be no CFC

Gerraway wind yer neck in it’s a Celtic documentary not a hibs one we all know wur history pity ye hibs fans have forgotten yer own ye don’t give a sh!te about yer irish heritage as fans and as a club nowadays very rarely see a tricolour at the club and infact more chance seeing a green Union Jack butchers apron so away look into your own history and what Hibernian actually means and start flying the tricolour traitors 🖕🏻🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪

Must correct you on that paddy they where born in my school hall ST Mary’s calton Glasgow and we were taught by Marist brothers same as the Marist brother that started up the club for the poor of the east end any religion helped everybody and it was that brother walfrid was from Ireland that’s it Scottish team if brother walfrid came from Pakistan would Celtic be Pakistani.just saying.

"Minging" Is the only way to describe the way RFC died, they had 296 creditors and left them without the money that they owed them, they even owed the Scottish Ambulance Service five thousand pounds, how shameful is that.
