My partner and soul mate got me to listen. I am of Irish descent and Judy was going to take me to see the land of my ancestors. Unfortunately she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. My soul partner passed 2 years ago and my heart has not been the same. May the Irish eyes bless her and the Emerald Isle hold her spirit forever.

Chloe's voice is so angelic. I'm irish by ancestry yet I've never visited my homeland. I'm 29 and I hope to get the chance someday. This song is so beautiful and touches the soul. I cry every time i listen to it. Chloe truly does this song justice and she makes celtic woman so proud of her. The kiss and the giggle at the end just shows the kind of quirky young lady chloe is.

Chloe has become a world class vocalist right before the eyes of Celtic Woman fans over the past few years! She was always a gorgeous young lady with a magnificent voice and stage presence. But within the last 3 years or so, she has become one of the great vocalists in the world. Joining, in my opinion, the likes of Lisa Kelly and Meav Ni Mhaolchatha. David Downes found this diamond in the rough and helped her become what she is today. And the world is a better place because of it.

There was a sweet lady at the nursing home where my mother was a resident. She often sang this song to me. I did not know of it at the time but it brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it now. I can still see her white flowing hair and hear her angelic voice. What a blessing she was and what beautiful voice that you have. Thank you.

I'm not an Irish, and I don't even know if there's a single cell in me that is Irish... but I love to see that green lush land of Ireland since I am 11 years old. The history, culture, faith, and strongwilled people with Gaelic language., I love them all. And just like the song said, I would ask God to make my heaven in that land across the Irish sea.

Agree 💯%. Recently, during the interval of a C'm performance in the QE II auditorium on the original ship docked in Dubai Harbour, they played The Pogue's exhilirating which was my fave X'm song when it first released in London where I was living at that time. The memory of it jolted me and when Shane McGowan completed his solo 1st ½ in his rasping way prior to the 2nd ½ with his delirious duet with Kristy McColl, the bagpipes burst forth their melody and it got me so right in my being that overcome with emotion I was choking + tearring up. That''s when I had this huge AH-HA Gestalt realisation of the profound feelings I always nurtured for the Irish, among my favourite folk. Being a Kelticphile, it dawned on me that in my immediate lady birth I must have been from The Emerald Isle so much was I always intrigued by its' gaelic heritage, pagan ways, druid rituals etc. So it's not necessarily only in your blood (external) but on your being (,internal) that counts. Therein determines one's stirring unfathomable connect with a place, people, folklore. Btw, am an Indian from an antique Vedic lineage which equitably binds me differently; Yet, karma goes beyond flesh + blood through several centuries of rolling/ rotating time.

Do you spend your time lurking around on these videos just critisizing others? Even just a nice and polite comment on a video? I'm sorry, but hahahahah! That is so pathetic, I have no words! You must be so proud of yourself :') How can you even critisize my perception of beautiful? Beauty is subjective, you know that, right? I'll have you know that I'm a nutritionist and or your information, she looks nowhere near a verging heart attack. I work with helping people achieving a healthy weight, that's what I do for a living so I should know. I have also confirmed this with the physician I work with. Educate yourself please, cause this patronizing and attempt of making others look bad is back fiering so bad on you. I won't be too rude though cause you obviously have issues with yourself if this is what you do with your time. I truely hope for your own sake that you are trolling and you spend your time otherwise.
@annsoline10 жыл бұрын
***** I will take this point by point as I can tell that you are experiencing a case of the the classical "hissy fit". I was hoping for a more mature approach to this or at least a rational discussion but I can see that that is not going to work. I specifically wrote "I won't be too rude...", therefore never implying that I wasn't going to be rude at all, though I will say and stand by that it is not the point of or the reason behind the comment. I actually do understand the severity of being overweight (I wasn't even planning on calling you overweight... I have regular manners) and I can assure you that you do not have to worry about our dear Chloe. If you find it impossible to believe me, you can certainly fathom that calling her fat and even yelling at someone else for calling her beautiful doesn't do anything good for her or anyone else. Or you, Especially not you. It makes you look pittyful, sad, insecure etc. To be clear, I'm not saying that you are all these things, I'm just saying that's what the reader takes away from your comments. However, I'm glad you spend your time differently, I advise you to keep right on track with that cause this online bullying is not healthy for you. I'm happy you feel nice and attractive, all very good for you. That's why I find it so peculiar that your wasting time cyber bullying. And no, I am in no need for a physical fight. Although I am not a native English speaker I'd rather use words and common sense to settle a discussion. I apologize for spellling errors.

Galway Bay sounds so beautiful. Someday I would love to go to Ireland and see where my Irish Ancestors came from. My Great-grandfather was a Casey and my grandfather was a Cassidy. So I am half Irish and have a quite a bit of Irish Lass in me. My father was a MacLean whose family originated from The MacLean Clan in Durant, Scotland. It would be so wonderful to visit both Ireland and Scotland someday. The countryside is so very beautiful and I love the accent spoken by the Celtic people.

If you ever go across the sea to Ireland, Then maybe at the closin' of your day You will sit and watch the moon rise over Claddagh And see the sun go down on Galway Bay. [And if there's to be a life in the hereafter -- And somehow I'm sure there's going to be -- I will ask my God to let me make my heaven In that dear land across the Irish sea. Just to hear again the ripple of the trout stream And the women in the meadows making hay, To sit beside the turf fire in the cabin And watch the barefoot gossoons at their play. For the breezes blowin' across the sea from Ireland Are perfumed by the heather as they blow. And the women in the upland diggin' praties Speak a language that the strangers do not know. For the strangers came and tried to teach us their way. They scorned us just for bein' what we are. But they might as well go chasin' after moon beams Or light a penny candle from a star. And if there's to be a life in the hereafter -- And somehow I'm sure there's going to be -- I will ask my God to let me make my heaven, In that dear land across the Irish sea.]
