When I was doing youth group we did the acts of the cross. One year I played the role of Jesus. Right before we began the choir sang this. I remember having chills. I never felt closer to Jesus. I knew He was standing right there with me just like He always is but this time it was different. His presence was overwhelming. I wanted to cry. Whenever I struggle with faith I’ll always go back to this song. The feeling of Jesus being with me comes roaring back. I’ll forever cherish this.

Many years ago i was in Pantanal, Brazil and a couple of ladies were about to leave the camp that i had just arrived at. My guide (Ronny) was pleading with the ladies to sing one last song before they left. In starlit sky, the middle of nowhere, they sang Piet Jesu. It was quite simply breathtaking. He later told me they were part of the Celtic women but at the time i had no idea who they were.

Chloe is the girl I always wanted to be when i was 13 and it actually hurt because I wanted to be like her and couldn't. I loved all of Celtic Woman but Chloe stood out the most, in a good way. She didn't seem real. She looks and sounds like a medieval princess. To this day, I think Chloe, the way she is here, is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen (and heard) in my life. She is just as gorgeous now too but I don't think her weight loss made her any more beautiful than she used to be.

I don't know the terminology, but Sarah 'vibratos' too much. I prefer a long note, and vibrate the end, in most pieces. I didn't like the Brightman song as a kid (in the 80s, I couldn't believe this was number 1 for so long!), but listening now, this version sing much better to me. Both singers in fact. I think the dark haired one, just sounds like a smoker version of lead singer. Works so well.

My high school choir performed this my freshman year at a regional concert competition held every year in Martinsburg. We sang our hearts out and came in second, but we were overwhelmed with joy.
