Absolutely, this little lady was part of the best of what's made CW the force of nature that it's become over the last couple of decades....

seriously if there was a way to bottle a tiny bit of Mairead's energy it would be a global wide energy source!!

Why this only has 62K views as of 2/23/24 is unreal. An amazing group of talented musicians..... deserving of more.

The setting, the woman, the skillful and magical and versatile playing, the background musical arrangement----- It is all beyond phenomenal. This is absolutely spell binding, like something out of mythology. I cannot believe that any human being can pull-off a performance like this. Otherworldly.

Thank you to the person who first showed me this video in the summer of 2011 and introduced me to a whole new world of amazing music. You know who you are. To this day it makes my life better. The comment "gliding and dancing on her heels" was mentioned back then, truly on-point.

Without a doubt, the most Beautiful Dancing Fiddle Player that's ever drawn a bow across the strings....

I love the ease with which she just bounds across the stage... it's why she'll always be my fav CW fiddler...

I’ve been a fan ever since my dad played this music years ago and I’m not ashamed to admit have brought a tear or two out of total emotion couvade through the music and singing. Just amazing 🥲

Is there anyone else that can dance and spin around without getting dizzy while playing the violin perfectly in a dress and heels while still looking that good 🤔 No I think not.

I just watched this again. It never gets old. My paternal grandad, my Grandpa Sam, died in his late 60s, three years before I was born. My dad often told me stories about how Sam taught himself to play the fiddle at some point along the way. He would play for local gatherings and dances whenever he was asked. I think that he would have loved to see Mairead and how she wields that bow. She might be the greatest violinist around today. . . I wish that I had known my grandpa. He was an itinerant sharecropper back in the 1940s and 1950s. I have been told that he could throw a hammer at a rabbit in the fields and kill it. He was a wiry thing, and short, but could extend his body horizontally from a pole, like a gymnast. And he knew the mysterious art of how to cure the thrush in infants, whenever worried mothers would bring them by. He didn't have hardly any formal education. I miss him, even though I never knew him. My dad is gone now, as well. I miss him like crazy. . . I miss them all like crazy. . .

Wish they had a gal like her on every corner in Ireland. Would move back in a New York minute. But sadly they're few and far between. Spinning and playing one of the top 10 toughest instruments to play to perfection. Amazing in every way. 👏
