Why is everyone only commenting on her voice? I mean it is completely amazing and breathtaking.. but listen to that orchestra! My god, if this was only an instrumental that would be enough to give me chills... The voice does add to it's amazing-ness, but come on people, LISTEN TO THE MUSIC BEHIND IT! IT'S BRILLIANT!

This song is unlike any other. Most songs are about love or broken hearts, but this is truly unique. Instead of sadness and longing, freedom is the dominant feeling. This song unlocks the door to the imagination, and you discover a whole new world.

@@lanaodierna6670 You are right. It has nothing to do with Peter Pan. " "Walking in the Air" is a song written by Howard Blake for the 1982 animated film The Snowman based on Raymond Briggs's 1978 children's book of the same name. "

Hi Beverly. I know a lot of people hate to hear someone say this because either they don't believe it's true or they think it's a cliche....but I believe Heaven is real and I believe people can go there when they pass from this earth and I also believe our loved ones can hear us when we pray to them. I am sure your son can still hear you and that you can see him again some day.It may not feel like it now,but earth is just a blink of an eye compared to what's next. God bless you and God bless your son😇🙏👼

Lyrics "Walking In The Air" We're walking in the air Floating in the sky Floating in the air We're walking in the air We're floating in the moonlit sky The people far below are sleeping as we fly We're holding very tight I'm riding in the midnight blue I'm finding I can fly so high above with you On across the world The villages go by like dreams The rivers and the hills The forests and the streams Children gaze open-mouthed taken by surprise Nobody down below believes their eyes We're surfing in the air We're swimming in the frozen sky We're drifting over icy mountains floating by Suddenly swooping low on an ocean deep Rising up a mighty monster from its sleep We're walking in the air We're dancing in the midnight sky And everyone who sees us greets us as we fly

@Wycked_Vempyre I believe there's a version of The Snowman where David Bowie narrates. I'm not 100% sure, but I had heard about it some time ago. There's supposed to be a few different versions. Also, there was a sequel to The Snowman released a couple years after called Father Christmas. It's about what Santa Claus does the rest of the year leading up to Christmas. They got Bob Hoskins to voice Santa for that movie! It's a quaint little movie. It's tonally different from The Snowman, but still very cute and worth a watch! If you can't find it on DVD, try to at least rent it for a day from KZbin, or Amazon! Last resort would be torrenting it, or watching it on KissCartoon (if they have it)-- of course going that route might put your device at risk of a virus.

This may have been the first song that made me fall in love with Chloe. The singing and rendition of this melody came from very modest beginning -- in an animated cartoon. I wouldn't have believed that given some fine composition and orchestration that it could turn into such a heart-felt song. Watching this after so many years almost made me want to weep because I realized I wouldn't be seeing Chloe again (at least part of CW). I'll really, really miss her.

I prefer the Nightwish version purely because it’s not ruined by Autotune. I’m sure the Celtic Women are perfectly capable of singing in tune, so I’m guessing it’s an artifact of projecting the sound and getting a good recording at the same time.
