I'm here because Dan Rather recommended three versions of "Fields of Gold" in his Substack newsletter yesterday, and this was one of them. I've now watched 3 times and have cried every time... there are no words to describe the beauty of her voice, or the poignancy of this song. I kept picturing the golden fields of Ukraine, Gaza, Syria, and so many other ravaged and war torn countries, where fields of gold often become fields of gray. We must do better... for the children, and for everyone's "field of gold" whatever that imagery might mean to them. Peace.

This is beautiful 16 year old Anabel Sweeney of Wicklow, Ireland. Anabel won the contest held in Ireland to choose a guest singer to sing with Celtic Woman in their newest concert, "Homecoming". We were there at 3 Arena in Dublin and heard and saw the taping. Anabel is adorable and was wonderful under the tutelage of Meav Ni Mhaolchatha, formally of Celtic Woman...now CW Voice Director.

this song depresses me. if someone can sing this beautiful and absolutely flawless and not known all over, then how in the world is there much hope for other aspiring musicians? This young woman sang an absolutely beautiful performance, and its a tragedy she didn't have a huge career known by people everywhere.

Her voice is captivating it steals all thought and captures your very soul it's absolutely amazing esp for someone so young she sings w all grace and composure of a professional.
