I know from experience after raising baby ducklings that they will not be able to get out of that dark hole on their own. They are too small and they will drown.

@@MikeEmms Ducks are very messy, they love to splash water everywhere, and they poop an average of 90-ish times per day. Make sure they always have access to clean water, and that they have access to a small pool/pond or even bowl of some sort. Something they can at least dunk their entire head in. They need to be able to clean their eyes and their bills. Ducks love treats too, my ducks go absolutely crazy over tomatoes and strawberries lol! Never ever just have one duck, you need at least two. Ducks thrive in a flock, 3+ is what I recommend to ensure their happiness. If you ever notice ducks getting bored, you can put a mirror in the coop/run and this will keep them entertained and happy. You can also buy a cage ball thing and put treats in there, that will also keep them entertained. By keeping ducks happy, they will give you delicious eggs in return! Ducks are by far my favorite animals I have ever owned, they’re just so lovely. They make me laugh all the time! Hope this helps!

Cute idea ! But don't put ducklings in the pond without a ramp for them to climb out; they do not have the natural oily coating of feathers yet (they have down at this point) and will become tired and drown.

I appreciate the work, well done. I notice you don’t endorse health and safety though. I found it funny to see you using power tools in open toe sandals. I’m presuming this is not meant to be a permanent residence for the ducks, but just for effect. It was quite a shock to see all those ducklings tumble out of the crate like that. Having kept ducks and hens myself, you need to research the optimum requirements for keeping fowl. Especially waterfowl. They need more space, they need at least 4foot depth of water, for their droppings to sink and they need a sloping side to get out of the water to preen themselves. Usually the mother teaches them to swim and exit the water and oils their feathers from a gland beneath her tail.otherwise they are not waterproof. Funny video anyway

Do you keep you're animals in a research lab or a outside, I live on a farm myself and I have chickens ducks, that's plenty spacious for those ducklings if you ask me, I know people who work barefoot on their farms, you sound all sentimental about how he handled his ducks I didn't see none of them get hurt, you must live a nice and tighty life, you probably wear gloves when you spray febreze in the house, I don't wear gloves when using certain power tools neither it's called common sense know what you're doing, it's okay to gets sparks on you're hand and get you're hands muddy sometimes, I like people like you

I like it. I have ducks. I'm thinking he only displayed the ducklings to give the visual of the potential. If he has ducks, he probably already has a larger pond/lake on his property. Only thing he needs to do is to write a disclaimer stating that this is not their permanent pool; that the intention is to inspire those who have been wanting a duck pond to follow through with the technique & it's follow up with an additional video showing a ramp or step ups for the ducklings. Ducks don't remain in the water 24/7. And they are fast growers. Other than that, it was a good video to inspire ideas, at least for me. Any novice viewing the video would soon find out that the pond is too small and could make that trip to Wally- World to fetch a sizeable plastic pond, if they're caught off guard. And can continuously use the little pond as a water feature.

Okay few things wrong here. First you spray all kinds of paint and everything and then put them little ducklings in...... not good! Then I don't see a mama duck and when ducklings do not have a mom to groom its oil into their coat you are not supposed to let him swim until they have feathers,not just down. Also they can't get out of it most likely. I had one drown in a 3" deep water bowl. It got in but couldn't get back out. It was so sad! If you want something swimming some goldfish!! But wait till chemicals are gone first .

I love the idea. The colors of the leafs are not my taste, I preferred the original color in cement, which would give a much more natural touch. The pipes need a covering too. The plants and the ducklings in this tiny pond are a bit too much --> crowded. What is missing: a drain, in case the water will smell and needs changing. You could pump it out with a manual or electrical pump but a drain is just more practical.

Водоём был сделан неплохо, но листья .... почему они белые с голубыми полосками? Да ещё и эти разноцветные пластиковые камушки? Руки у женщины хорошие, но вот со вкусом не дружат. Листья нужно было в темно-зелёный красить с серыми прожилками. Камушки, если и класть, то натуральные морские. А такое количество утят на такую маленькую лоханку за пару дней превратят этот водоём в выгребную яму с соответствующим ароматом.

This would only work in a warm climate where you never have a freeze. Otherwise, this would be good for one season and then done. You can also buy a small plastic insert at Lowes and do the same thing. If you live in the midwest where I live, the koi pond I dug is 3.5 deep at one end so that the fish have a place to go in the winter and don't die. You also have to keep the ice from freezing over or the gasses will get trapped and your fish will die.
