Yes we tend to forget them after one year gone .I struggle with the emotions attached to the loved ones gone forever .over whelming at times too much to cope with being alive

Good for her my local cemetary used to have a part time gardener & the cemetary looked lovely, now even the grass is nearly up to your knees another cutback I expect.

That’s wonderful. Cemeteries are beautiful if they are kept up. It’s a peaceful place too. To reflect, meditation, prayer, or even read a book

I always loved graveyards. I grew up opposite Epping Forest, and would obviously play there. St Peter’s in the Forest, a tiny church and graveyard, was not far. I remember being very young and feeling sad that so many babies were there, from early on. My grandad explained these babies often died of the flu. I’d have loved to clean those old gravestones. ❤

I don't see this as news or a big deal. We have this where I live. It's a service that most of us pay the church for to take care of them once a month.
