Round back September time the youtube channel Alfo Media pointed me in the direction of modern baseball. I quickly fell in love with their more 'soft indie/rock songs' like coals and pothole. The more i fell in love with the band the more i wanted more. And, given their indefinite hiatus, i was kindly pointed towards Jake's more soft indie rock folk lyrical genius band Slaughter Beach, dog. So I've been here a while now, and given the lockdown i've been diving into their concerts on youtube hoping one day i'll see them live. So big up Alfo Media for bringing me here, not to sure what the point of this comment is guess I'm just looking for something to do hahah.

Lola Tester i saw them on my birthday in september, we were the first ones there and i got to meet jake. last night i was listening to a podcast from september and am now just listening to him and this video, this band means so much to me and gives off this feeling i’ve never gotten from anything else. you said you didn’t know the point of your comment, but i’m glad you said it because i could read it and say all this back. feels like to have a little sense of community around the music. i hope your day has been doing well!

Will Peterson Hey Will cheers for the reply i completely agree. Something about hearing exactly why bands/songs are meaningful to individual people is really special. In slaughter beach dog's case maybe its because each song is a little story with so much meaning packed into every lyric, just allows it to instantly spark conversation.

I remember discovering SBD during covid and this being one of the main videos I’d watch over and over again. Back then I thought I’d never be able to see them live (or any band for that matter) but finally after years of waiting I’ll be seeing them this fall just outside of Baltimore ❤

The recording/ audio here is spectacular. I love hearing those raw sounds of what's happening in the room as he plays. It really sets the mood and makes me feel like I'm sitting there next to him taking it all in.
