I’m so torn on Doug. On one hand, I admire the passion he has and the fact that he never gives up on his dream. I think that’s a good motto that a lot more people should live by. However, sometimes dreams can block your sense of reality. Unfortunately Doug hasn’t shown much in challengers that makes me think he’s getting in the league anytime soon. Whether it’s winning or his individual stats, I just don’t see it. Every other academy team formed in the past wins. Whether that’s subliners, LAG, Rokkr, etc. 2015 was 8 years and 8 call of duty’s ago(or something like that). I really want to see Doug succeed I think he gets a shit ton of unnecessary hate but, I’m worried that we may not see it happen.

Teaching OpTic how to play cod is hilarious when the 2nd event in the year was qualifiers and then the 3rd event was champs. Champs being the 2nd event with their new team and regional quals being this first event after weeks of try-outs with multiple different players after scump left and bigt retired, so getting used to a new team and showing up for the biggest event of the year is probably why OpTic beat SB. Not to mention SB didn't win a single weekly 2k or 5k GB tourney going into champs, didn't win the online quals for the Regional Qualifier, SB only won the Regional Qualifier. When damon says the tournament was useless, it didn't matter if you won, all you needed to do was place Top8 which would qualify you for Cod Champs. Damon won the Ring, so the delusional whataboutism "you didnt play us at champs thats why you won a ring" is why doug is called delusional. Plus OpTic beat them in winners round but didn't knock them out, envy did who also had a bad placement (6th) at the useless regional event and they went on to the grand finals of champs. Doug is good but he is absolutely delusional. Another reason the quals were pointless was that all 8 teams that qualified were placed in the 8 separate groups at champs, so neither would play each other in groups, obviously 1st seed (SB) Would get the easiest group but all those teams made it out of groups. The only teams that posed a threat in groups was good teams from other countries like the infamous Epsilon team and T1D. Doug lost to OpTic and NV who both lost to and repeatedly couldnt beat CoL. The best team won champs.
