Thank you. Hoping to get it out within a week or so. It was definitely an enjoyable trip

It's so fun to see this from someone else's view. A little different but a LOT the same....even the weather. Haha. Great video Tyler!! I have eyeballed that GG tent before. I need a solid light tent for the occasions I can't hammock. I almost went with the Chili too but I wasn't as brave as Scott! I wasn't sure what the turn around time would be on that stuff! Thanks for the mention....good memory!!

Thank you. I'm with you on the chili. I like the GG tent. I decided not to splurge on the dcf version and got the 2020 model on sale. I also considered tarp tent double rainbow li, but decided not to spend the cash. I think you get a mention in video 2 as well. Thanks again

Thank you. Chapter 2 is getting close. Probably by mid week. Like most trips, the video doesn't do it justice. We had a really great hike. Thanks again.

Right on, Tyler! Great job capturing the trail. Enjoyed the video. So cool to see someone else's perspective, especially when they shared it at the same time. You guys got lucky on the buffalo sightings & views in Custer. We only seen one buffalo the entire hike. Then was denied the views in the burn areas due to fog. Oh, we had a little hard time getting that gate to open at Custer as well. So, it just wasn't us...lol Thanks for the shout outs. Now on to your second installment..

Thank you. Buffalo seemed closer than the GoPro depicted. Agree that it's interesting to see the different perspectives. Thanks again. I'll be looking forward to your second video

Excellent video! This was very helpful as a few friends of mine and I are heading out to hike this trail soon. Which direction is better? What was your favorite section of the trail? Now following #267!

Thank you. We hiked NOBO. I liked ending at Bear Butte. Not sure about favorite section. One of our least favorite was in low areas of Black Elk Wilderness where you had to try and avoid mud and ruts caused by horses. The open prairies, especially close to the northern terminus where quite exposed, but beautiful. Hope this helps. Have a great trip. BTW, the food at the little restaurant in Nemo was really good.

I'll be watching for your video in the future. We didn't go up Black Elk Peak, so I will especially be interested in seeing that. Thanks again.

Was there good water source, and did you carry your food for the whole trip?

I don't recall particular issues with water until we got further north. We had one section where we were planning on a dry camp and I packed approximately 4 liters from the creek. That was probably about 25 miles from the Northern Terminus. We arranged to resupply in Nemo. We also had someone meet us at Mt Rushmore, simply because we had someone there and it made sense. At least 1 resupply would be nice, but could probably be done without depending on how many days you were hiking. Hope this helps.
