Center to Edge Pool Aiming- Just a Bunch of Shots

Bringing together my version of CTE(Center to Edge) Aiming and a lite traditional version of CTE. A reference on how to aim, using a the pivoting of CTE and learning how methods described can provide all levels of play consistent shot making capabilities. You aim from 1/2 tip offset on CB to aimline a,b,or c and then pivot to CCB to shoot! Only shift using back hand.

Are you always lining up the center of the cue ball to the right edge of the object ball also

Using the Traditional method yes but its difficult to explain via video as its all "visual" in lining up.

On the aiming system does the ABC always work from right to left and does the pivoting always come in the same way from right to left

Pivoting is usually opposite of the cut.

Hello Howard thank you for your work. I have been a proponent of Stan's Pro One for a couple of years now and have even been in touch with him by email directly. I have his video but have found it very difficult too determine what direction to pivot from. He uses thick and thin for the determination. That is to say that if the cut appears to be more than the ABC alignment would produce you would need to thin the shot and therefore Pivot from inside that is from the cut side versus if the shot appeared to need less than the ABC would work then you should pivot from the outside of the cut angle. Looking at your system it appears that you are usually pivoting from the direction of the cut most of the time regardless of whether the shot needs more or less cut. Is that right. Also, did you say you are aligning the ABC to the pocket and not to the cue ball? Are you aligning the cue tip to the ABC first then pivot to center cue ball? I'm a bit confused. Just one more thing. You seem to lift your cue cue on every short immediately after striking the cue instead of staying on line. That seems to be against more fundamentals taught be say, Tor Lowry, or others. My style is abc is facing the pocket. It works for me. Traditional is best but after 5yrs later i still have questions.

My style is different but Stan is the best but always seems more questions need answers. My way is a,b,c faces the pocket. You aim from 1/2 tip offset to one of the aimlines(based on the angle) Then pivot over to CCB and shoot. I pivot from opposite the cut but that my choice.

I really would love to learn CTE, like you showed on the video. but i am finding it hard to understand it. I'm a bit slow in understanding 😊
