Preventing Iatrogenic Anemia

One of the more serious and life-threatening complications from hospitalization is iatrogenic anemia, which is anemia from excessive blood draws. If you draw blood samples from patients, especially newborns, you must know how to prevent phlebotomy-related anemia. This video helps phlebotomists limit the volume of blood they draw from newborns and how to calculate the maximum volume of blood drawn per day that should not be exceeded.
