My return on time spent on this video will totally be worth it. That part about experimenting (affordably) in ways that may lead to failure reminds me of the book I'm reading, "Here comes Everyone", by Clay Shirky. It's an old book (published 2008) that makes you feel like you're time travelling, but there's this passage where he describes the development of the open source software Linux and why it is forcing other software companies to make drastic changes. The open source nature of Linux allows the volunteer developers to inexpensively try many methods of developing an operating system, failing countless times, but succeeding often enough to create real change in the industry. Big companies like Microsoft can't afford to fail like that. In the same way, Waceke points out that we should be okay with experimenting and maybe even failing many times, when we can afford it, because the successes that come from these experiments might just create the defining values and features of our business/company in the future. Thank you Centonomy.

@@Centonomy101 I will. What I have found, however, is that people can hear what Waceke says word for word, but unless they are willing to act on it, they stay stuck (that's also a reason why I'm never scared of sharing my ideas. Most people out there are not willing to put in the work to implement an idea, let alone one that they've "stolen" and aren't really passionate about). Here's to hoping that those I share this with will also benefit from and act on the message.

Splendid Waceke . Overtime I learned that what was the first plan for my business kept adjusting , even mutating to fit the times , my actual competences , and reality . This is still continuing (disrupt fixed ideas that you know it all ) , and i now know it will continue but all these are expected to lead us to growth some day sooner than later (return on time) . Thanx from Kampala .

Awesome Waceke. I am in the training industry so when you talked about the shock of the 6 months turn around time after meetings..... I totally relate!! And it's painful... Hence the need for disruption. My key highlight has been RETURN ON TIME; thank you so much. When will you have the Centonomy classes in Uganda?

Hi kivila. Thank you for your comment. Currently we don't have a strategy for Uganda but an online platform would be the way to go.
