I took a look around the center of Bangkok and pointed out some affordable units. You won't find 8000 baht units in Phrom Phong. Maybe it will be 13000 baht. But that might be the best $150 dollars you ever spent when you have to commute an extra 30 minutes home each day to the "affordable" parts of BKK. Thanks -- good advice as always. In this climate, an outdoor kitchen is a good idea. Like you say it keeps the smells outside, and it also keeps all the cooking heat outside too. Traditional Thai homes seem to have this as a normal setup.

Very true. It's really not a bad idea. Although, I've cooked a dozen times in 2 years. It's just cheaper to eat out

Older buildings were normally 48 to 52 meters in Bangkok now there 28 32 and really are not built so strong some are 35 30 years old

It's all a numbers game. You get more 28m condos in the same size building. I'm lucky to have a 52m for 19K in Phrom Phong

Does your bathroom have gas sewage smell?

No, but years ago, I had an airbnb that did. Get some plastic film wrap and cover it up. Small chance the bum gun explodes.

@@louis20122 It's not that big a deal. In 20 condos I've lived in or stayed at, maybe 3 had a sewage smell in the bathroom. It just depends on the building. It's not terrible, just a very slight odor. Like I said, a small piece of saran wrap over the floor grate will stop any smell. I had the same issue with a $200 night hotel in Las Vegas once. It's not just a Thailand thing. It's just nasty plumbing, no big deal. My building today is 20 years old. No gas smell. My building in On Nut was 5 years old. It did have a little gas smell. Both were on a high floor, so who knows. Pick the condo you want. If your sensitive to any odor, 2 cents of kitchen plastic wrap will solve the problem. If you flood the bathroom, you might have some explaining to do. But, don't flood the bathroom.
