Something I'd like to bring up, is that being from Brooklyn, a lot of us black folk here are West Indian. Pop Smoke was Jamaican and Panamanian in fact. Maybe I'm crazy, but the accent a lotta yall got sounds to my ear similar enough to english speaking Caribbean ones that I could follow, some of the slang aside, so it's kinda funny that Brooklyn was the first Americans to pick up on UK drill beats, and Pop himself was trying to "bridge the gap" going over there.

I think he compared the Merc and Escalade because celebs are usually driven around in them as they're spacious so their friends can fit too, plus all the windows are usually blacked out. If there is anyone who really knows bout uk music, and have been on it from way back, you'll know that the breaking down uk slang and explainin what it means in bars, was done by a real OG called Remtrex about 13 years ago, on his flush raw media freestyle 💯.
