I fished this lake many time with my Dad....between 40 and 50 years ago. Glad to see it's still producing bass.

I happen to fish Johns lake all the time. I live about 20 Minutes from it. I always catch big fish back in the ponds espeically during the spawn. Great fishin!

That was a fun show to do. The host Eric was a lot of fun.

Lizards work really great. You can swim them or work them on top. The tail and legs really put off some fantastic action.

Gustavo,I appreciate the compliment. This was a long day and the fishing was slow, but I did manage to get a few good bites. Stay tuned for many more exciteing videos.

Nice video Shane! Johns Lake is on my "bucket mouth" list...

I have both and use both frequently. No preference for one over the other. My Wilds are spinning rods and my Blacks are my baitcast rods. I also have a few of the origional carrot stix that have survived over the last four years. They all get heavy use by either me or my customers. Most of the issues I had with carrot stix was self inflicted breakage.

I enjoyed John's lake and look forward to going back.

That baits a great producer in Florida. I fished that lake years ago and was a fish factory back in the day.i thought they sprayed it, but I'm hoping I'm wrong..great video brother,I'll subscribe....

Down in Florida the Kisimmee grass is abundant. I would normally toss a frog but when it's thick I will go with a Gambler Big EZ swim bait rigged weedless and weightless. It gives me a narrow profile but enough bulk and action to bring fish up through the grass.
@CaptainShane12 жыл бұрын
Most soft plastics tear easy since they need to be soft so you can get the action. There is a company out there that makes some plastic baits that stretch rather than break. I bought some lizards and was amazed that they really stretch rather than tear. Can't think of the name right now.

Did not think anyone would notice that one :o) Fished hard all week up in central Florida and had a miserable week. I was thinking it would be like last year when I was able to bang out four killa vids. On saturday I basically got blown off Lake Kissimmee with 30 mph wind gust and 3 foot chop in the lake.

It can. If I am looking for distance I like a 7 foot plus rod. Shorter rods are more accurate. You can find a happy median at around 7 feet.

This was on Johns Lake. I have fished Toho and just about every small pond in the Orlando area. They all ]hold bass. I like plastic worms, swim baits, senko, spinnerbaits, frogs and crankbaits in the Orlando area.

How bout that bassmaster classic in the cold? Too bad it wasn't warmer would have liked to see more big fish caught. I was surprised with what they were still able to catch.
