It’s unfortunate that PM Modi and bhakt’s are stubborn in accepting Nehru considering he is ideological and political opponent.The best gift Nehru has given to this country is sound and secure borders, a democratic framework where the country, state, ideologies, religions, castes, creed and everything else can co-exist without killing each other and within the constitutional framework. This for a region which never was united in 5000 years is a great and significant achievement. There have been few compromises and losses a.k.a PoK and CoK but it is for this generation or future to solve it. You can’t have everything perfect on a platter. I think instead of repurposing the current North and South Blocks as museums it should be used for defence integration like the Pentagon where all armed and security aspects like *Armed Forces, Police, Paramilitary, NIA, CBI, ED, R&AW* etc are well interconnected! PS: I am aware there are dedicated buildings for defence and probably secret doomsday command centre but integrated centre for working on the same goal is what is required in my opinion!

Govt should have allocated a new land and build the building and offices as well as residential homes for MP. The land has the value. The entire area should be turned into museum or allocated to museums and other public works. Well I guess no MP would like to leave the grandeur of the accomodations they have... Those bungalows ... Why would anyone not want to live like raja ! Some of the most beautiful British homes built in new Delhi. New land could be in UP, Gujarat, wherever they want too. Time to move the capital to another part of India.
