This video is supposed to be about Dunstable? Well, how about mentioning the actual whereabouts this was all filmed? 0:32 Woodside Link was mentioned. That'll be in Houghton Regis and Chalton parish's. 1:15 Whitbread's flashed up there. That's in Houghton Regis. 1:33 The viewpoint from "Dunstable Downs" is from a spot in Eaton Bray ward. 1:49 Bus is labelled "Parkside via Dunstable", but the commentator just calls it "Luton & Dunstable Guided Busway". Parkside is in Houghton Regis. Thank goodness for the lady in green at 5:31 mentioning her journeys from Houghton Regis. 2:02 Did you spot the gentleman climbing over the railings in the middle of the road? Surely an overlooked blemish? Safety doesn't come first, then? 2:24 Oh yes, The bypass. Not in Dunstable. That'll be in Houghton Regis Parish. 3:59 Vince Cable mentioned, for opening the Incuba Centre. Nice place, excellent for hot-desking etc. 6:22 There'll be "no lorries in the [Dunstable] High Street" says Cllr Young. Really? Should be careful what you say, councillor! Besides, that isn't the High Street, it is the M1 motorway in Chalton parish, no where near Dunstable! 6:18 Lorry emerges from Thorn Turn, Houghton Regis. 8:46 HQ Sports Bar. tell us why you're wasting ecological resources with all those tvs on constantly, don't people go out to get away from the tv? 9:38 I don't want to take anything away from the multi-million pound regeneration of Dunstable leisure centre, but with the new developments in Houghton Regis, original outlines included a NEW leisure centre facility for Houghton Regis, which now appear to be being reduced to refurbished continuation of the old. Watching that one. 10:47 - those new homes are in Houghton Regis. Built as an "affordable" homes estate, it will be one of the few in Houghton Regis, as only 10% of the new 5150 homes for the Houghton Regis North 1 development are expected to be "affordable", partly because the developers are contributing £45m to the Dunstable Northern Bypass, which of course, will be built in Houghton Regis. The thing that's makes dunstable a great place is that it has some history to it and has some great landmarks like the downs and the church but the thing that could be improved is the traffic

Why so negative?? I for one think this is a great video and shows a lot of the lovely town! As a young adult (26) this video makes me believe that Dunstable can and will get better! Why ruin that?? No wonder the young generation have a 'fuck it' attitude if they see negativity like this about a town they live in!

Successive Dunstable Councils have managed to bring the Town to the state it is in now. It used to be a great place but everything it had to recommend it has been closed or forced out due to personal rather than community reasons. I sincerely hope the current Council has learned lessons from the past and that Dunstable will thrive again.

You think this link road is going to solve all the problems, but if you kill the traffic through Dunstable you will kill a lot of passing trade.
@MCraigyboy710 жыл бұрын
projectzip, I disagree with you. The Link road will help. Nobody wants to shop in Dunstable as the traffic to get in and through Dunstable is a mare. The traffic situation puts people off coming into town. You don't drive to Dunstable UNLESS you have to. It takes 15 mins to get from ASDA to the chalk hill cutting , it's quicker to drive around London!!!!
