Funny story about the Meintsma Quake - I live in the Twin Cities and during my first few months playing disc golf i attended a putting event at a brewery. While there i went and bought a Quake from the man himself, not really realizing he was doing it to fund the tour lifestyle. Fast forward a few years, and i saw him at the Preserve open, and he signed that very same Quake, as it became one of my absolute favorite discs. It was my 1st overstable mid, and nothing has come close to replacing it quite yet.

If u putt upside down, u have virtually a non-existent air(flow) cushion, so when a disc touches chains and loses the speed, it breaks immediately south and can´t spit out even when u r Gannon Buhr or especially Hjalmar Fredriksson. 17:03 The upside down putt is to help the disc find the bottom of the basket. An upside down disc will fall much quicker, and there's a lot less bouncing out of the basket or passing through the chains, out the back of the basket. You can test this by tossing a putter 20 feet right side up, then upside down, and see what the disc does. Mason Ford does it as well, from time to time.

Joel Freeman has said in several videos that he putts upside down like that so it never spits out. He says he’s never seen a spit out when it was upside down.

Interesting strategy to release a tournament coverage over 5 days rather than 3. I've always noticed the middle round always gets shafted in many 3 day coverage. I assume the concept is to build up demand for each round again, hopefully getting more overall engagement?

Yeah, we're trying something a little different for this one and we kind of like the staggered release when we aren't doing next day videos. It'll be interesting to see the numbers compared to normal 3 day release schedule.

Joel putts upside down from close to avoid the lip of the disc getting caught on the nub of the basket in case of a slightly low putt.
