You can repeat these same steps in the x direction by replacing y tilde by x tilde, y bar by x bar and follow the same steps as we did in this video but in the x direction. Our differential strip will be vertical instead of horizontal in this case. Let us know if you find the same result!

Interesting. I won't use this for my major but it was an interesting calculation. Do you have videos on statics? Or something close to it? I want learn a bit of statics on my own so I can learn about the physics of buildings

Thanks for the comment man. Depends on what kind of statics you're interested in, but yea we do have some! We have some basic highschool physics: statics here: kzbin.info/aero/PLv11OuQcvb_CGoXlPQyFdtH-IxXnNbcFy. In terms of structural analysis, we have lots of good statics stuff here that directly relates to buildings: kzbin.info/aero/PLv11OuQcvb_Dtbtcjmj__PE5MdC6Fi_qk kzbin.info/aero/PLv11OuQcvb_AJKPBEtQTViOEG0s4yOdth kzbin.info/aero/PLv11OuQcvb_CV8eZj6v8ZR_wlLVxlCdGQ kzbin.info/aero/PLv11OuQcvb_BS-jCW0aU-BoM82VBWedy7 If you have any questions let us know!
