The cent 7/1 second gun is something that made a lot more sense back in the day as the British heavies and mediums shared a lot of modules like the engines, radios and guns. The cavernarvon (idk if I spelt that right) had that 20pdr B gun so a lot of people got it for free when they played cent 7/1. When WG removed that gun of caern they should of removed it off cent too

Vstab/IRM on 7/1 is ballsy, especially since it has worse dispersion in the turret than on move/traverse, which IRM doesn't help with. I have this problem with every Centurion tank, but I constantly have internal module issues. Very common to lose a combo of track, ammo rack, driver and loader in a single shot. It's one of the few tanks where I use Survival Improvement Suite and large Medkit (for passive crew health). I play 7/1 like a Leo PTA when bottom tier and a heavy when top tier. I never trust the armor, but 210mm HESH pen is enough to spank a lot of heavies and mediums at T7-8. 268 APCR isn't enough to deal with tough armor at T10 and most T10 gold lolpens the turret/upper hull, so I play more passively.

@@ff-klaw1375This is a popular misconception about IRM. It only improves dispersion on turret traverse NOMINALLY. Yes, the number might go down a little when you look at tanks gg. In reality, because your turret turns faster (and thus has a higher net displacement), your gun actually blooms MORE than if you weren't using IRM at all. That's why it's very niche and used only on tanks with bad hull traverse (Bourrasque, some casemate TDs) and TDs with awful dispersion modifiers AND relatively slow turret traverse that can't use vstabs (Grille 15, Conway, FV4005). If you're not sure how the math works. it's an old video, but 13Disciple has a good explainer on how gun handling works. He posts the formula in his video. I'm posting them below: The formula for bloom is as follows: Bloom = base dispersion * penalty The formula for penalty is as follows: Penalty = √(1 + Hull^2 + Rotation^2 + Turret^2 + Firing^2) Hull: speed (kph) * 0.15 Rotation: degrees/sec * 0.15 Turret: degrees/sec * 0.12 Degrees/sec is the amount of distance your tank or turret traverses. Faster it moves, the more you bloom. That's why you'll sometimes see people hit R once to poke a corner at low speed and shoot. If they went any faster, the bloom would increase significantly more. IRM is so bad on most tanks that it actually hurts your overall gun handling by causing more bloom via faster rotation of the hull and turret. This is also why people pick IAU to help with dispersion. Nominally, IAU only improves base dispersion, not the bloom penalty. However, your actual real dispersion is the base dispersion * penalty, so a lower base dispersion actually impacts the degree of influence bloom has on your gun handling.

I guess top of cent ax turret is around 200mm straight on and gets stronger but not by much at angle. I didn't really catch that until I saw that IS 4 pen yours. Nice games!

On the centurion 1 I found it SUPER annoying that any penetration would damage my ammorack so I slapped lvl2 experimental hardening and have found it MUCH better to play. My plan now is to grind out the rest of centurion 1 and speed run 7/1 with blueprints and a little free xp 😢

@@iyouxintwitch Update: I have unlocked top turret and gun and I realised it's the charioteer gun but better. I'm enjoying the tank way more than I thought and I will be grinding out field mods for it :) Before your F2P grind I would've just spent free xp to unlock the top gun but I managed to do it without spending any! (with the help of premium days). It wasn't as bad as I thought and I saved a huge chunk of free xp that will go towards the next assembly shop tank. Thanks Iyouxin 👍

IRM on Cent? Can someone finally explain is it even useful for gun handling? Some people use it as extra stab, and some people say it doesnt do anything for gun as extra stabilization is just used to compensate for extra rotation speed you get and it evens out?

@@ff-klaw1375 what I mean is, that it gives you extra stabilization, which should improve your gun handling, but in reality, because it also increases your tank/ turret rotation speed, you also get bigger reticle bloom and your supposed improved stabilization is gone

You are right, it increases your rotational speed, but if you go smart about it, move only turret or use cruise mode to pick behind the cover the bloom is not gonna be as big.

@@michalsvihla1403 ha! I started playing on the 30th of June :D first branch I started grinding was S. Conqueror branch. I don't know if you know that, but Churchill I and Churchill VII are the f****** worst, man. slow AF, very week armor, shitty gun. at least in my opinion. the fact that I was an absolute noob might have played a role too :) so, switching to Cromwell, which was fast beyond measure comparing to Churchills, felt like a breath of fresh air. the only thing I learnt while playing Churchills was how to outplay a slow heavy tank in a fast medium tank, cause they've done it to me so many times. same goes for tank destroyers with no turret. I was making a lot of mistakes too but watching players like Iyouxin or skill4ltu or quickybaby taught me sooooo much. You just need practice. I bet you're just used to a different playstyle

I hate that good aiming and good positioning is not rewarded in this game. You can aim however well you can and be in a good hull down position, but then you get cupola penned by an enemy tank with bad gun stats while you miss fully aimed shells. I enjoy RNG sometimes but now it just feels like every shot is a gamble.

The best tank is the one you are confident with and know how to use...my tier 9 Heavy Tank VK 45.02 (P) Ausf. B has been able to outplay Maus and E100 on numerous occasions simply because they didn't know how to play their tank but I have been rocked by tier 8 T28 prototype with a tanker who obviously had a tonne more skill than I did lol and as their reload was down around 8 seconds while mine is around 12 seconds with the big gun. like 2900 dpm verse my mere 2300 dpm.

Imo isnt worth it. Tier 9 and 10 are good but the rest of the tree is just a pure comedy with 120-220 per hit and no armor. Unless u can skip some of this pain with gold or schemes

I cant stand cent VII even when top, the gun has 0.28 dispersion, but it aims forever and then still misses everything, idk, defender on the move shoots more accurate than this tank :D hope AX is better
