Just goes to show ya, the love of music can make anything happen. Metal is something anyone can embrace if it resonates deep in their soul the way it has with me. I like stuff from other music genres too, but that's always been the one thing I come back to at the end of the day. I've heard alot of it over the years and I have to admit, BC knocks it out of the park everytime. Undying respect to Ice-T, Ernie C and the gang for breaking new ground.

Gerald, you win. Is that what you want to hear? That only you have the best musical ear and taste? The guys was simply stating that he thought this guy was good. I don't disagree, but there's always someone who has to make this a pissing contest. I expected to see you post a Neil Peart video or something, and I was not disappointed with the million piece drum set as your example of an amazing drummer.

The whole idea of thrash metal was to sound as dirty as they could with the time technology. If you ever listen the separate tracks from the original raining blood record, you'll see one, specifically for noise, that contains something similar to a white noise mixed with what sounds like vinyl scratch or static, and, there's another track that is just the rain sound and thunders. They were put there intentionally ;) Also, the distortion and equalization, and the recording setup, were made to sound "thrashier", and the kick and snare in Lombardo's drum, sounded dirtier and more distorted than in Hell Awaits, a previous record made with less resources.

I'm just now hearing about this band, but this is really heart-warming. I always love seeing open-minded musicians genuinely appreciating genres of music different from their own. Sabbath ofc are legends, but I don't usually expect to see Slayer getting this type of respect. Not to mention, Suicidal Tendencies, a band much lesser known than Sabbath and Slayer. "How Will I Laugh Tomorrow" is one of my personal favorites songs by ST.

I (age 45) started listening to Metal in the age of 9. Back then we bought Vynils, exchanged Demo Tapes and so on, we started to play instruments and formed bands just to have fun. Inspired by mid and late 80s Thrash and DM Bands, we had to face the evolution and changes of the 90s. We had tons of issues with the music industry, they wanted to support Grunge and less Metal. I personally believe, there was enough capacity and will to support both Genres. 1992 was the Year when i came across a Band named Body Count. Their music was hard, the Lyrics - oh yea, they had someting to tell and they made sure, their Music was fantastic. BC and ICE-T influenced and formed a Bridge at a Time of Decline (of Metal) back then and they deserve my Respect. All of them are Heroes.

Yeah I hear you bro. As a musician myself what I say about rap is it lacks the musicianship of a good metal band, or any other type of popular music for that fact. It's all done with computers, synthesizers, sequencers, and other electronic bs, not from people playing real musical instruments that require skill from the player to make it sound good. That is the main reason I don't like rap or hip hop.
