Personally, I just can’t reconcile how awful he was with her in the very beginning with how sweet he was with her and the kid later. 🤷🏼‍♀️ (Their family of three was super cute together towards the end! 🥰) The other thing I have a problem with is how he never actually apologized for his behavior (that I can remember and I’m not willing to rewatch it to check 😉). At first he says he’s willing to overlook HER mistakes, as long as she admits and apologizes for them. 🤨 Then when he gets a taste of how it feels to not be believed when the evidence is against you, he finally has a bit of sympathy for her (but still doesn’t believe her). And finally, when he has evidence and KNOWS she’s innocent, he just wants to forget the past and move on? Come on dude, how about an acknowledgement and an apology? Something like- I’m sorry I didn’t believe you. Or more specifically- I’m sorry I only listened to the SFL. I’m sorry I believed you stole and sold company secrets. I’m sorry I believed that you willingly cheated on me. I’m sorry I hit you. (Big freaking one right there! 😠) I’m sorry that I left you alone after you were assaulted. I’m sorry I divorced you and left you alone for six years. I’m sorry I wasn’t there to help raise our child. I’m sorry that I didn’t believe he WAS our child. They just gloss over all of this and move right into the reconciliation process. To me that’s a problem. Without clearing these things up, they don’t have a strong foundation, so how am I supposed to be excited for them or believe that their relationship will last? I mean, he’ll probably take a knife for her at some point in the future 🙄, but to the audience even that usually feels flat in these circumstances. I just wish the writers would focus a little bit less on the awful people and their schemes, and a little bit more on actual relationship development for goodness sake! So…sorry about going on for so long! 🤗 Apparently this bothered me more than I realized. Admittedly, it was acted pretty well and add that to the cute family, and if you can overlook the things that bothered me, then you might enjoy it! 😜
