I saw many comments about this drama. Although I agree that Gao Jie had some responsibility to what happened, SHE CERTAINLY DID NOT DESERVE THAT KIND OF PUBLIC HUMILIATION, AS IF IT WAS A ONE-SIDED MISTAKE. There were a number of ways Yuzhi could have ended their engagement but in addition to his awful awful words, he dragged her off the stage like a rag doll. If he had any semblance of RESPECT to the relationship they shared for a long time, knowing that on many occasions Gao Jie had been put on the chopping block and she had to prove herself time and rime again without his help, he could have given her the benefit of doubt and ended it privately...the impact on Gao Jie would have been less tormenting. He did not investigate fully what happened, until it was too late.

What disappointed me about this drama is that after the cruel, narcissistic treatment by Yuzhi . Gao Jie ends up with him. He’s shown himself to be selfish, self-absorbed, childish, spoiled rich heir, distrusting of Gao Jie while expecting Gao Jie to trust him.

True some responsibility goes to Gao Jie because she knew that the those two were in a very bitter relationship. He lost his mother later sent away from home for the loss of the rubies. They were at daggers drawn. She took her chances. The ML would not have reacted if it was anything but betrayal by his love and arch rival. He was shown as a impulsive young man who was looking for love and warmth he didn't get after his mother's passing. The brother too was very manuplating and jealous of him and used him.

We are in the world of division in families because of unforgiveness and holding grudges against each other.. in this drama I’ve learnt a lot of good lessons.. how bad when you try to destroy and limit someone’s destiny, but God always reveals the truth..❤

Kinda ironic that he couldn't trust Gao Jie even though she proved her love and trust for him, time and again and helped him but his cousin gave all his love and trust to Princess Hui Hui even though he saw the harm she could do to people, but she screwed him over royally. Well irony is alive in well in this drama.

Dumb girl took back ML at the end after the way he treated her throughout this 🎭. FL was every villain punching bag😱😱😱😱. Even forgave her greedy father for abandoning them and running off with his mistress who took her mother’s artworks when she was two years old. Made not a bit of damn sense. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯

Also don’t understand why these dramas always end with the two main leads together, regardless of the shat they’re put through. 'Goodbye my princess' the guy was a total jerk and obsessed psycho. I was glad when they separated them but had a problem with the ending even though she didn't return to him. To be honest I was glad he got his for his mistreatment of her and her family. His pain in losing her was enough for me. I wanted him to feel something he 'loved' taken away from him....for good. If only this drama was the same. No such luck I guess. 🙄😕

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WATCHING FULL EPISODES. There is NOTHING but frustration that comes from this drama about a masochistic woman who falls in love with a narcissist. It is one episode after another of this ML publicly bashing, harassing and trashing this woman he professes to love. His character is truly disgusting, but she is more so because she goes back to an asshole like him...nullifying his abuse and most likely his continued abuse of her. I don't think I could hack watching 56 full episodes, I saw a clip of the argument/throwing away of the rings and it genuinely broke me. I watched it months ago and it still pops into my mind from time to time. Totally messed me up! From the scenes in the jungle it was such a dark turn I wondered if I was watching clips of the same show. Shouldn't be called Nice To Meet You lol. The only thing I'm looking for now are clips of Gao Hui and her mum finally getting caught out once and for all and having to pay for everything they've done. Full-on confessions or someone else publicly listing all the shitty things they've done and basically tearing their faces. Every time I see them I have an *_overwhelming_* desire to punch them in the throat. 🤬🤬 I've seen the ending but haven't found out what happened to them (Or to Yu Yi as I didn't see him in the wedding clip)
