Attraction and wanting to sleep with someone is hugely different from loving someone-which actually requires getting to know them and trusting and respecting them. He never loved her. He was just infatuated. He never trusted or respected her. Even in the end 2:12:26 he lists out the things he is sorry for an nowhere on the list is for forcing her to have an abortion against her will. He literally doesn’t think it was wrong to do that-just upset that he thinks it was his child that he forced her to abort. He is not now and will never be a good husband to her because he has not changed his self centered, controlling attitude that says he can force her to do what he wants.

Thank God somebody else has a brain and a moral compass. I would never forgive him. If the abortion had succeeded I probably would have wanted him dead. In these dramas, no matter how horrible the man is or how vicious he behaves toward her, the woman will always forgive him when he says he's sorry and brings her flowers. This is obviously not taking place in Europe or America ever. I know China is still more of a male dominates society. However, this is the 21st century. They need to move on. If they still want to show the man is being more dominant or higher in esteem that's their cultural right. They really need to move on from physically abusing women, rape, forced abortions, and force ddivorces and marriages if China wants to be seen in a good light by the rest of the world. Yes I know this a drama. However, these things are representative of a society.

The male lead is just too arrogant for my tastes. He literally rapes a woman and then in the morning he has zero remorse but instead thinks “she is playing games with me”. He threatens to fire an employee on day 1 for her name tag being off center. And everyone knows that he is only the ceo because his family owns the company and not because he is smart or a good businessman. He doesn’t seem like a prize at all. And he continues to be this way throughout the drama including 2:07:20 when he orders the doctor to perform an abortion on her against her will. 🤮🤮🤮 unforgivable! And he NEVER apologized for this nor even thinks he was wrong! He doesn’t regret imposing his control on her to force an abortion, ignoring her own ability to make her own decisions. He only regrets it when he thinks the baby is his-but otherwise he still thinks it is ok to force her to have an abortion if the baby wasn’t his. (Does he think she is his slave?!) he is literally smiling and thinking she should take him back because he got revenge on the evil mistress-but has shown zero accountability for his own actions. News flash: it doesn’t matter if the baby was his or not - he has no right to force her to have an abortion!
