Good acting and chemistry by the leads but the choppy story lets them down. I don't know if scenes are missing or the story is just told in that way but you really have to concentrate to follow the storyline. A glaring editing mistake towards the end with an out of place scene and a rushed ending. So it's certainly not the worst I've seen but not the best either. Plot holes are present as well, with the sly sister still around with a kid he knows is not his. A nasty ML grandad and the FL was very weak in the first half. So the story didn't sell itself to me. At least they didn't have fake kisses which is a plus but not sure why another commentator has said those scenes are just short of unacceptable. Very tame actually. I guess it's because we get used to seeing those awful fake kisses.

First issue came in the first 20mins of the drama, FL goes to high end store (it was previously established she has money) to shop, FL's "sister" shows up and immediately starts the "you're poor" narrative. Next issue, again with the SFL. At this point I'm not even 40mins in and the mini transgressions are bothering me. Why is it they always force marriage on the FL because the groom is supposed to be handicapped in some way, and then the moment the FL's "sister" sees the man they rejected for superficial reasons, now all of a sudden, they want their "spot" back as the original choice for "wife". And let's be clear the FL didn't even know she had a "sister" to begin with, she came home and her father had sent her mother away, now all of a sudden, she has a step-mother & "sister". At about the one hour mark her "stepmother" can just walk into the doctor's office and claim she's somebody's mother and get medical info without proof. Now to wrap up this review, I do appreciate the fact the ML was not dumb as in other dramas, and I'm happy with the quick reveal. Overall rating 8/10.

Why does the wife go on endlessly opposing everyone and everything except for the person who truly had the power to hurt her, her husband and her child? I am disappointed that the FL and ML only shared affection in literally the last minute. ML did not get to interact with his son at all...not much love going on in this little family. This drama is really unique in a lot of ways. The ML and FL have very distinct personalities here, and there's a lot of real SHOWN intimacy. Are they plagued by misunderstandings? Of course, this is a Cdrama. But it's mostly the MALE LEAD that's being misunderstood here. I do enjoy my MLs with passion JUST this side of unacceptable, and this ML hits the mark, lol. But he was ALWAYS sure of his wife and what he wanted (even when he thought she was pregnant with another man's child), and wasn't fooled for a second when she came back pretending to be a different person. Nor did he give the time of day to the sleazy sister who tried to take her place, despite thinking they'd been together before. Aside: EVERY shoe choice the FL makes is the wrong one. 😑
