There’s nothing really new in this story. It’s the same old story of an arrogant man who claims to love the female lead instead showing her clearly that he never loved her or trusted her or respected her and having her thrown in prison (pregnant) without any investigation. And then after 5 years of suffering he barely says I’m sorry, does nothing to support her, and her has the audacity to think he deserves her love?! 😂😂😂 Is the same, sad, misogynistic plot line they always do. With the laziest of cop out endings with the “knife of forgiveness”. Why have him work to atone or show actually remorse when you can just use the stab as a ridiculous ending to get him forgiven?

A decent man, one who had every the smallest amount of actual love or respect for his wife, would have believed her when she said she didn’t do it and would at least have INVESTIGATED the truth instead of unilaterally having her pit in prison where he didn’t bother to check in on her. I swear that just because a man is handsome people want to forgive them. Show me him suffering the way he made her suffer! Skip this is you want justice or revenge (or actual love) in your drama. Spoilers: arrogant male lead claims to love female lead but on a mere accusation from other people he accuses her of murder and has her thrown in prison although she is innocent. She suffers there for 5 years, even delivers her baby, and not once does he think or care about her. When she gets out, he still hasn’t investigated the truth but spends most of the drama trying to sexually assault her and NOT defending her and yet, hilariously, he wants her and the viewers to believe that he loves her! 😂😂😂 When he finally bothers to find out the truth, he does literally nothing to clear her name or defend her. He continues to act like she owes it to him to forgive him because he said he was sorry that one time. He continues to try to sexually assault her and show her clearly that he does not respect her. And yet, at the end, they stick with the lazy weak ending where take a knife meant for her and somehow that’s supposed to prove that he is a changed man. 🙄 Even at the very last minute he is blaming his mother and others instead of taking responsibility for his own choices and actions! He does not earn or deserve her forgiveness.

Exactly! He shows again and again that he is not willing to support her when it matters. He shows that he doesn’t trust or respect her, much less love her. One minute blocking the knife does not somehow erase 5+ years of suffering that he caused! It’s just weak writing from lazy, inept writers who are incapable of writing a redemption arc for the male lead. If you want us to accept him as a changed man-SHOW IT! Show him being remorseful, being devastated and feeling guilt, and repeatedly apologizing, asking forgiveness and working to atone. But that would take skill and effort, which are clearly lacking in the writers here.
