i remember when i was a kid and use to play with these my dad is a welder and i had him make me a steel metal disk instead of that cheap one they came with and my beyblade was unstoppable no one was able to beat me. all my friends eventually wanted it, so they kept trying to hold matches against me. ​@leonardblaze5240 in beyblade x a ring out is now 2 point if the bey goes into the one of the 2 corner pockets, if the bey is sent over a a tall wall that is between those pocket the ring out is consider an extreme finish and it gives 3 points. Tournament final matches are now won by reaching 7 points.

Yeah, it's basically like rock paper scissors based on the type of top you have between attack, defense, and stamina. There's also the added layer of how you shoot your bey and how it interacts with the stadium that can determine how well it does in a match

@@TheKnightMask97 I presume there are build restrictions? Like, you cant bring a massively heavy custom-built full-metal beyblade that is guaranteed to send other beyblades flying? Cause back when I was 13-14 (like 19 years ago or so), I used to do that and basically get my friends's beyblades to shatter, or I used a special core that can pile up 3 metal rings, all perfectly round and smooth, so it was impossible for my opponents to slow it down in any way because it was too heavy and too smooth.

@@MidianVGC Yeah certain pieces for your build are considered banned for tournaments. You can only use official Beyblade merchandise for the most part but custom made pieces can only be approved if it's purely cosmetic from what I believe.

@@TheKnightMask97 Not quite. You're allowed to make "Awakening"-style modifications that could be reasonably attributed to regular use of the part. An example is pre-wearing a brand new XtremeDash (Xtr') driver so that it's within its optimal "Lightly Played" condition. Too worn and your attack pattern is easily broken, not worn enough and your banked launches will be inconsistent.

@@MidianVGC Most tournaments play a format called "3G Deck". Players construct a "Deck" of 3 Beyblade "Combos" made of official unique parts (can't use 2 of the same part in the same deck). The game has a large knowledge aspect to it as you have to have an understanding of how each piece in the Beyblade combo changes the performance/movement/intended win condition when it's spinning. E.g. Attack types are designed to knock out the opponent quickly and easily (comparable to rushdown) but gas out faster than other types. The way to optimize an attack combo for this strategy is to use a flat tip preferably made of rubber. The flat surface of the tip will cause the Beyblade to move around a wider area at a faster speed, and the rubber increases friction to assist the Beyblade from KOing itself with its own recoil while further increasing the movement speed (but ultimately lowering the Beyblade's overall spin time). Flat tips are easier to control the movement patterns of depending on launch strength, angle and placement which gives you more control over how/where you want to go for your potential KOs.
